Reflecting on September 11, 2001
On September 11, 2001 I watched a human tragedy and a great drama. I often question the strategy of
America and the outcome if it took a diplomatic approach opposed to military power? A half-destroyed Afghanistan
and Iraq has not convinced the America people and the world that America is to fearsome to attack.
I believe this human tragedy is an isolated incident not instigated by the infamous, Bin Laden.
Most people assume it is Bin Laden, but evidence clearly point to a group of persons linked together by ideology
and willingness to be martyrs, engaged in a clandestine operation. It was war in the streets of New York, and I believe the
biggest shock for the American people was that a group of radicals engaged in such horrific act. Personally, I
do not think Bin Laden has a part in this. What would he achieve? Suppose, he did to express anger and revenge for America's
misdeeds. By performing such act, could he persuade the American government to change its policies? I don't think so.
Former President Bush says he regards the attack as an act of warfare. Wars are not conducted to persuade the opponent
to change his ways, but to force the opponent to do so.
America response was to react forcefully, and the body of
the political elite gave the president patriotic assent without any hesitation. But, what can America do? The truth
of the matter is that there is not too much that America can do. The CIA tried for years to assassinate Castro, and he's
still there. America has been searching for Bin Laden for some years now, and he's still there. One day, our agents
may kill him, and this might slow down this particular operation. It would also give great satisfaction to many people. But
the problem would still remain whole.
The disintegration of personal security is now a reality that may be hitting
the American people for the first time. It was already a reality in many other parts of the world. The political issue underlying
these chaotic oscillations of the world-system is not civilization versus barbarism. Or at least what we must realize is that
all sides think they are the civilized ones, and that the barbarian is the other. The issues underlying what is going on is
the crisis in our world-system and the battle about what kind of successor world-system we would like to build.
America
would have done well by taking a broader vision and not engage in war with Afghanistan and Iraq. The drama
of September 11, 2001 will soon be a minor episode. Unless we change our thinking this minor episode will become a long struggle
that will go on for a long time. As long as we have sides believing one is civilized and one is barbarian I observe a dark
period for most people on this planet. Reflecting on this human tragedy I wished that America took a different turn.

A response to Professor Calderon's editorial.
Independence stands alone free from comformity, patterns, and identification.
Unfortunately, our educational system disregards the pursuit of justice and equality because understanding the actual
is void in vocabulary and language of authority professing truth. Authority like Professor Calderon identifies himself as
the president of the Latino and Latina Roundtable. Identification is a process. It starts with what we are thinking, do, desiring, we start with assumptions, or with ideals which are not actualities, and so we are led astray. The professor offers
an idea of true citizenship which goes beyond narrow legal definition to include equality in all spheres. Is this possible?
Can the individual depend on society, who is corrupt, for radical change? No. The individual cannot depend on society. Society
is corrupt. Can the individual change society? Yes, if the individual is interested with facts and not with assumptions.
The individual need close attention and every form of thinking not originating to understand what is actually taking place
both within and around one. If you are a Latino, your visions follow a certain pattern, if you are Catholic, a Buddhist,
or a Arab, you follow a different pattern. As you can see, according to your conditioning, your education, the culture in
which you have been brought up, determines your visions. Which is the actuality, the vision, or the mind that has
been shaped in a certain mold? The vision is the projection of the particular tradition which happens to form the background
of the mind. This conditioning, not the vision which it projects, is the actuality, the fact. To understand the fact is simple,
but it is made difficult by our like and dislikes, by our condemnation of the fact, by the opinions or judgments we have about
the fact. True citizenship (awakening intelligence) goes beyond society, beyond conformity, beyond culture, beyond
a projection, beyond a pattern. To be free of these various forms of evaluation is to understand the actual, the what is.
Understanding the actual gives us the commonality that give us a human reason to celebrate independence.

A lesson from Norway.
In our prison system sixty-percent end up back in jail opposed to Norway's
twenty-percent. America’s inmates envy Norway’s prison facilities which boasts amenities like a sound studio,
jogging trials and a freestanding two-bedroom house where inmates can host their families during overnight visits.
I
recently watched,“Hard time in Alaska,” and regardless of nature’s profound beauty and stillness, the prison’s
hostile concrete walls, iron bars, and clanging of steel doors, and the rolling thunder of guards deepens the violence of
the worst offender. The highest rate of inmates in the world is the U.S. Why?
If we are interested in reintegrating
inmates into society than we need to take a look at Norway. Are we really interested in civilization and rehabilitation? Treating
inmates humanely boosts their chance reintegrating into society. Some believe that this model is for first time offenders
like petty thieves. Not true. In Norway they arrive in bad shape: drug dealers, murderers, and rapists to name a few. One
man was a chain-saw murderer, and three months after he was inducted he was trusted with a chain-saw cutting wood.
Like
Alaska, Norway is graced with snow tipped mountain-caps and crystal clear skies paints the back drop of peace and tranquility.
Nestled in isolation, prisons in Norway avoid an institutional feel, exteriors are not concrete but made of bricks , galvanized
steel and larch; the buildings seem to have grown organically from the woodlands. The symbol of incarceration are towered
by rich hunter-green trees which obscure the prison’s perimeter and its top has been rounded. Majestic trees has an
impact on the senses and mitigates hostility, and when the north wind blows scents of evergreen blankets the sprawling thick
carpet grass area used as an exercise yard for the inmates.
The nature of government reflects how we house inmates.
The cells rival well-appointed college dorm rooms, with their flat-screen televisions and mini refrigerators. Designers chose
long vertical windows for the rooms because they let in more sunlight. There are no bars. Every ten cells share a living room
and kitchen. With their stainless-steel countertops, wrap-around sofas and birch-colored coffee tables the environment resemble
Ikea showrooms.
The greatest lesson we can learn from this model is the relationship between staff and inmates. America
sets off unnecessary intimidation and social distance. Guards don’t carry guns, and they routinely eat meals and play
sports with the inmates. This is not possible in America because roles are strictly defined and enforced like a master-slave.
Most inmates come from bad homes, and to create a sense of family the staff consist of fifty percent female.
I believe
that Norway offers a meaningful life inside these walls. The relationship between the guards and inmates will likely have
the most lasting impact.
Prisons reflect the nature of government and government reflects the nature of society. Are
we, the people of America civilized?

Proposition 19-- Passing Cannabis
Prisons are packed like sardines and sky-rockting cost of housing inmates has
reached its outer limits. I recommend passing the bill because relationship between police and communities will improve a
notch, and police will refrain from dipping into the forbidden cookie jar. Drug cartel’s revenue will take a dive shrinking
coffers seventy percent. Instead of chasing the drug cartels police can focus on violent crime and property crime. The passage
of this bill will send a message to thugs in Mexico that the gig is over.
Striking a positive note land will be spare
from environment damage to California’s public lands from illegal grow operatons.
California is in a economical
crises from mismanagement and passing this bill can answer the call for jobs and money. A cool $1.2 billion and $1.4 billion
in new direct tax revenue annually and 60,000-100,000 new jobs certainly triggers interest for starving sharks. New taxes
triggers a high for Sacramento; it is like setting a bait for a sassy and smart seal strutting her sexy stuff.
Since
we do not have a shariah law, moral code police, and a king as absolute authority passing this bill will mitigate alcohol
cost to society by allowing adults to choose a safe alternative.

Editorial on wiretapping
Mulling on the issue I observe that wiretapping is an excellent tool for the controlling elite and privately the ruling
classes with lobby for the expansion of the practice.
The ruling class always have benefited from spying on the private lives of their common citizens. I do observe; however,
that ruling classes do not like to be scrutinized by private citizens. I recommend that private citizens use the same tool
in spying on the ruling class, and demand government for transparency. Transparency will certainly by attractive to the average
citizen and infuriating to the dominant elite because it shakes and quakes their power. Also, it is an insult for the elite
to be questioned by the average Joe because his role is to pray, pay, and obey power.
Most people are unaware that they reside in a controlled and monitored environment. Their every communication, from phone
chat to text to email, is being monitored and filed away by the government and the government does not have to keep records.
This helps to further shield the ruling class from accountability for their actions with those few outraged aware of
what is happening.
As long as the elites hold the reins of power, they will continue to manipulate the average citizen and monitor control
over the populace. Exposing light on these dark FISA Amendments and court rulings controlled by the ruling class will mitigate
the state from progressing into a total police environment, a class separation, and a hostile conflict between the bourgeoisie
and the proletariat.
Mulling on Muslim Mosque and Ground Zero
The Mosque on ground zero is a world symbol for the Muslims. What is within
that symbol?
Allah (God of the Muslims) has effectively defeat capitalism and destruct
creatively western values and earthquaked the foundation. The fall of the Twin Towers was a Muslim Manifest
Destiny. It was the will of Allah. One must very astute in recognizing the motive for building the Mosque on ground
zero.
The word, "Muslim" means surrender. If this mosque is build on ground zero
America has surrendered unknowingly severed the foundation of who we are as a people.
Who would build the Mosque? I do not think a contractor would face the
challenge. He will entertain the idea, but at the end of the day his
hammer rest besides him.
How about the money? Money will not be an issue because to achieve the,
“symbol” is a divine project weakening the structure
of an empire. Can you imagine a super power surrendering? I recommend not building the Muslim Mosque on or near
Ground Zero.

Adding to the landscape of executive editor Frank Pine
What
the people want is a community solution to problems and I believe the solution can be best served on a local level, and not
on a state or federal level. The public is really getting the message that government at every level is driving the nation
toward bankruptcy. The result is a permanent push back in the direction of limited government. I believe that would be a good
thing.
I am a limited-government lady. Most people who believe in limited government find a need to mitigate trust
to make it work. I do not agree with that philosophy. I want the public to have confidence in the basic institution of government.
I believe this can happen at a local level only if the public expect less of government and to hold it more accountable for
performing its more limited duties in a responsible manner. I believe this can save the very idea of representative democracy
- having been so seriously hosed by those entrusted with the practice of it on the state and federal level.
Thus,
I do not want the public to lack faith in government, and if people have faith government itself will downsize. If government
comes through, the public must respond by giving good elected officials its trust.
In a nutshell. The more clear it
becomes to the public just how badly government has been operating at every level, it is plausible that local government can
prevent a total collapse, a break down, and ask the people to expect less and as their government can only perform limited
duties. The people will respond and hold the government accountable to that promise. Confidence, trust, and the idea of representative
democracy can be spared. It must start at a local level and mature on a state and federal level. Limited government but with
confidence and trust.

A response to the editor
Mulling on this issue and looking at the big picture.
I
am a front door woman, but mulling on this issue I have to look at the big picture. I believe that the only way to solve the
problem is to allow a pathway to citizenship for the people that are already here and a guest worker program for people that
are living in their countries or we may become irrationally suspicious, narrow-minded, and intolerant by divisive enforcement-and-punish
immigration policies.
Facts:
We designate federal monies to build miles and miles of wall; yet our Northern
border is wide open and vulnerable. We increase funding for thousands more border patrol agents, only to now find corruption
from within these ranks.
We are passing local resolutions in Arizona and Oklahoma that are clearly designed to intimidate,
round up and send the illegal packing, yet Arizona just last month adopted a 'temporary worker program' allowing thousands
of seasonal workers from Mexico to pick its crops before they rot.
We shout "what part of illegal don't you understand?,"
yet ALL of us in the past (and presently) have consumed and purchased wine [grapes], dairy products, canned goods, fruits
and veggies that, in all likelihood, were processed, manufactured or harvested with 'illegal' hands. Sure, you weren't directly
responsible for hiring these illegal hands. OK. Fine. Yet you bought and consumed these products nonetheless that indirectly
contributed to our present dilemma.
We want an end to business practices that rely on illegal immigrant labor, yet
I have not seen a stampede rush by American citizens to COMPETE for and take back these coveted low-skilled jobs unfairly
stolen by 'foreign invaders.'
I have seen ICE conduct workplace raids; but I have yet to see ICE storm a college campus
in order to apprehend the thousands of upper middle-class foreign students who yearly overstay their visas (I have personally
met many of these students myself, and none were from Mexico). Or how about ICE storming the thousands of Asian massage parlors
all across America, where undocumented female sexual 'slaves' are many times held indefinitely by profit-seeking smugglers.
Mostly,
though, I see alongside this hypocrisy a rising tide of ethnic intolerance that is building up to dangerous levels all across
our nation; and some--not all, but some supposed-liberals have become quick to join in.
I believe when our fences are
finally up and completed and the border patrolled and when we've successfully kicked out the last illegal immigrant, we may
find that what remains within our national 'gated community' is a cohort of citizens who may certainly be legal, but who at
the same time (through our divisive enforcement-and-punish immigration policies) have become irrationally suspicious, narrow-minded,
and intolerant of each other. America cannot take that turn

SOCIAL SECURITY
The game is over.
Social Security is on the rack. Citizens
belief that Social Security is an
insurance policy, or some sort of pension,
perhaps a retirement plan, or an
entitlement program. Unfortunately, this
is not true.
Americans contributed to the fraudulent
PONZI PYRAMID that is run by the
government, and will have just enough to
meagerly take care of the baby
boomers.
Soon, I will join the ranks, all those who
are dependent looking forward to a
sacred canopy. But, all that is a pipe
dream painted by the PONZI GROUP. I
bought the pyramid scheme like others
believing in the virtue of an honorable
government.
I am older and looked at my eighteen year
old grand-daughter innocent and graced
with promise. I shared with her
father
that her future contribution is
a tax, and a tax can end at any time No
guarantee of receiving anything after she
paid fifty years into the system.
There’s no money there after 50 years, and
she is not going to get anything.
One day my words took form, and resting in
peace under a moon lit sky the
roar of a tempest shook the dust from the
earth rattling my worm-eaten bones
slamming against my infested comfort bed.
I heard a voice like well- aged wine
whimpering,” the game is over, grand-
mother. Fifty years gone. Pappa told me
about the PONZI SCHEME but I
didn't believe him.. I am old and have no
money."
My grand-daughter thought that her money
was neatly deposited into a trust
and was safely held for her account and
then used as a sacred canopy for her
retirement. That ‘s not the way it works.
You pay as you go. It goes in and it goes
out. Your money goes to other programs.
And so what you got was an IOU, kind of a
bank IOUs. My grand-daughter
believed that
if she labored her reward for financial
security
was protected like a scared canopy. But,
like everything else her labor was
wasted under the pretense that she would
be cared for.

There is no shame to recognize an act of folly.
The editorial
is misleading pertaining to Iraqi's success. Washington failed in its ambitious goal to create a stable, united, democratic,
secular Iraq that would be a model of peace throughout the Middle East. It is in our national interest to pack and leave.
The goal was unrealistic from the outset, and it is difficult to admit failure. President Obama boast of success because
a setback for America, particularly in terms of globalclout and credibility would be embarrasing. I believe if America admit
it was a failure global clout and credibility would stabelize the Middle East because humility will prove far greater. But
the nature of a superpower is to rationalize defeat since the setback does not even come close to threatening interest and
capabilities. Regardless of denial America need to absorb the larger lesson of the Iraq debacle. Launching an elective war
in pursuit of a nation-building chimera was an act of folly. America should vow never to repeat this act of folly.
The
withdrawal needs to be comprehensive, not partial and Washington must make it clear that it has no intention of trying to
maintain military presence in Iraq. A longer schedule would simply prolong the agony. It would also afford various Iraq factions
(especially the Kurds and some of the Shia political players) the opportunity to try to entice or manipulate the United States
into delaying the withdrawal of its forces still further. But, the most important reason to leave is world opinions of America,
and have grown significantly worse in the past year. Outside the Arab world, there also has been a hardening of attitudes
toward the United States. Even among long-standing friends and allies, in such places as Europe and East Asia, the United
States is viewed in significantly more negative light. The longer we stay in Iraq, the worse those problems will become.
Iraq
was an elective war-a war of choice, and a bad choice at that. When a chief of staff bluntly told a House committee that the
active duty Army will break unless there was a permanent increase in force structure. Already the Army has struggled to meet
its recruiting goals, and replacing a volunteer military with a permanent force structure would not be politically favorable.
America, recognize the failure and vow never to repeat this act of folly. One million three- hundred-sixty-six-thousand
and three-hundred Iraqi's dead. Eight-hundred billion and three-hundred-fifty-million spend on the war. And how many Americans
had to die for this war of choice?
Iraq is strong and its ancient roots can transcend defeat into victory, heal, and
prosper. It certainly has the ability to stand alone without America for support.

Only innovation and entrepreurship can stop the Eagle from shedding and
restore its wings.
A world in which the United States is no longer predominate is most likely to be a dangerous world
for mankind. I am concerned since I am living in an declining empire with the Eagle shedding power and the Dragon awakened
absorbing power. I do believe; however, that we have to revive our main spring, the power of technological innovation and
entrepreneurship. If we can revive the two that made us the greatest economy in the world and grow our way out of this
hole (not dig) than I observe a transformed Eagle with restored wings
*******************************
Government should leave the towing to the private sector.
Mulling on this issue I observe a culture war between the people and
government.
America faces a new culture war.
America will move toward European-style statism grounded in expanding
bureaucracies, a managed economy and large-scale income redistribution. I do observe; however, that revolt is inevitable and
the people re-claim our founding exceptional nation organized around the principles of free enterprise - limited government,
a reliance on entrepreneurship and rewards determined by market forces. Government’s error is to reconcile the two.
These visions are not reconcilable. We must choose.
I observe the latter, but since human-beings have a desire to improve
themselves which seeks to advance society by the pursuit of self-interest, the basic idea being that as an individual creates
more wealth for himself, he or she is also creating more wealth and opportunities for his or her fellow men the people will
revolt and return to true capitalism where Government is only responsible for protecting the people from violations of their
individual rights.
Capitalist theory encourage greed. I disagree. Human-beings are inherently
wired
to advance and unfold innate potential. When Government takes over members
of society are limited and potentiality is formed by government not nature.
Innate creativity is at government’s disposal weakening the psyche
reducing the human to a slave. This of course, is to the contrary of who and what we are as human species.
Capitalism refers to complete separation of the government and the economy.
Arrogance points to greed. Capitalism is greed. Greed is a defect in the psyche not wanting to share their wealth and offer
compassion to those who simply are not capable of caring for themselves.
I strongly disagree with the capitalist point of view that if you cannot
contribute to society, it is due to laziness and incompetence; therefore you don’t deserve any of the benefits of society.
That is not true capitalism.
In reality, there are many people who, due to physical or mental limitations,
are not capable of caring for themselves without welfare or compassion of others. Faith based institutions are responsible
to care and be compassionate. It is not the government’s responsibility to exercise the role of faith based institutions
and/or citizens who are successful because compassion is also an innate disposition. Compassion is not a social-construction
coined by psychologist.
In a nutshell. Human-beings have a need to improve and excel which is
viewed as greed.
Greed is taking the fruit
of labor, hoard, and being blind by those who simply do not have the capacity. We are wired to be fruitful and share the fruit
of our labor. It is our psychological condition that separates the two.
**********************************************
Social contracts are tailored to to control its members through its rules
and regulations. Conformed will eventually break down because of its inherent nature of psychological false security.
The
Social Contract of Marriage:
Society has established marriage as a contract between two individuals who wish to intertwine
their property and their lives. If this is true, than why do we discriminate and segregate by having religious institutions
dictate and denying services to certain individuals. Religious institutions are revolting against this saying that marriage
is a sacred binding between a man and a woman. To me, that is similar to racial segregation in the sense that religious institutions
are denying services to certain individuals.
I believe that the moment we are born, we are wired to express ourselves
however we please, and mitigate social contracts that suppress and diminish liberty. For example, freedom of religion was
established to protect individuals from being chastised for not following main stream religion. I believe social contracts
transform through time and the individual changes society not vice versa. Defense mechanisms kick in to protect the psyche
from pain and acts as a stimulus to express creatively. That how the freedom of religion was established because individuals
wanted to express themselves contrary to main stream religion.
All religious institutions independent from government
control its members through its rules and regulations. Regardless of religion rules and regulations are established to control.
Government institutions govern not only its people but the institutions within. What happens when institutions have a greater
influence over government? That is that the majority of the government people belong to a certain institution. Then this group
obviously has a large control over the rights that the government gets to protect.
I think gay marriage should be
legalized only because I believe that the homosexual community should be able to engage in such a contract if they see fit.
How I feel is insignificant and independent of a right between two humans. As of now, they have no protection from these institutions
that are simply bulling them around. The gay community should have the right to be protected if they choose to get married.

The Economy 2010
At night, I can hear the soft thumps as the rats land on my roof.
They launch themselves
from the weeping willow limping
lapping branches of my neighbor’s house because they want to
get inside my attic, into a house with heat.
The house next door,
and the one next to that, have been empty.
Their yards have gone
feral, with hundreds of dandelion heads
glistening like silvery stars under a moon lit sky.
The rats are cold and hungry. The skunks have a den somewhere
next door, and raccoons
and lizards have colonized the
abandoned yards on my block.
And it's spooky, at night, to see so much darkness, to hear
skittering, to keep an
eye out for ragged people trying to break in
and sleep, the rapping and tapping
of rotating blades hovering
sparkling flashes of light.
Last week, a woman stole a pair of shoes right off my front
porch. I woke and ran
down the street and confronted the
woman. She threw the shoes back at me. I swiftly turned
and
saw a need and offered my shoes. But, after a pair of
clippers disappeared from my yard I took anything else of
possible worth inside.
Our mail-lady, Suzie Q, said this week that from what she sees in
her letter bag about
one in ten homes in our neighborhood are in
foreclosure or a few months
away. The street already has five
empty houses, some vacant for nearly
a year. And people
walking aimlessly like a zombie in the street makes life eerie and
uncertain.
Here in the Inland Empire, we joke that we are like fluttering
butterflies dancing ditching the inevitable. After all, we do
recession better than many
places.
We have experience. In the 1980s, we lost Kaiser Steel and
many other manufacturers;
from 1992-94, the unemployment
rate for the San Bernardino metro
area averaged 10%, with an
astonishing 12.1% in July 1992.
But this recession feels different. More desperate. More
alienation. Last year, after
the price of copper skyrocketed, metal
theft was rampant; thieves stole catalytic
converters from parked
cars, brass plaques from headstones and monuments, faucets and
bushings from fire hydrants, copper wire from schools and parks.
Thieves strip foreclosed homes, identifying them by "Bank
Owned" signs in
the dead lawns. Water heaters, copper pipes,
electrical equipment -- all
torn from walls and floors, homes
destroyed.
At the end of the day I close my eyes and feel life pulsating
through every inch of
my body. A moment of peace
with transforms
ugliness into beauty - poverty into richness.

Editor--
Deaths in Iraq pushes one and one-half million and that does not count thousands in Afghanistan. Civilians
have to contend with digging graves, rapping and tapping of rotating helicopter blades, hide for cover when planes
drop bombs blasting infrastructure and scattering tent homes. But, this topic is about crime and punishment. Increasing fines
is auto-cannibalization and the government excels in the craft of extracting and extortion.
As real money becomes
scarcer and credit evaporates into the ether, the State will still demand its pound of flesh come hell or high water, and
with ever-increasing vigor.
It is important for every individual to understand this: one exists at the whim of the
State. The State will drain every penny possible from one’s bank account until one is completely marginalized and reduced
to subsistence. It is evident from the grand scale, where government (i.e., mandatory) spending replaces private (i.e., voluntary)
spending, to the petty scale where local State mafias extort the last blood from the local turnips.
So, please editor
place your pen next to your lotus pose, meditate, and free yourself from this insanity. That is the only way out of this trap.
If not, you need to put the pedal to the metal and get to the endgame as quickly as possible, which seems about where we are
headed.

The founder who built his life around an uncompromising quest for information has accomplished something greater than establishing
Wikileaks. He has prompted more people to come forward with leaks of their own because courage is contagious.
The internet
is a tool for all sorts of information. We are conditioned to use the media as an educational tool to form opinion. A good
mind rejects media to educate. Media is not fit to educate because the purpose is to conform. The internet is like an octopus
with many point of views drawn from the world. For example, if someone is interested in finding out the facts pertaining to
Iraq’s civilian casualties why would anyone depend on the Pentagon or American Media? One must go outside the
box.
Our lives are not structured around the quest for freedom: freedom of information, freedom of Self, freedom of
authority. Most of us are conditioned to pray, pay, and obey because freedom offers insight and change along with angst and
anxiety.
****************************
Mulling on Gary Ovitt's letter I weep for the causes of war that are manufactured by man. Honoring troops has no value
except to Government who need the seal of approval from society. War exist because of psychological and economic reasons and
when we idolize causes like nationalism and ideas of carrying out duties, war will exist. We are conditioned to belief that
because of their service, they have kept the flame of liberty alive for people throughout the world who yearn to be free.
Is this true? I question the nature of war and belief of a particular dogma. If our meal consist of beliefs, ideas and dogmas
we breed discontent. If we had no belief but goodwill, love and consideration between us, then there would be no wars. We
do not want to face these things, we do not want to face the fact that you and I are responsible for wars. We cling on personal
and national psychological security. There is no such thing.
To defend my argument I like to take you back to February
12, 1942 when the Japanese took my parents to a jungle prison camp in Pekanbaru on the island of Sumatra. Japanese Imperialism
humiliated the white and considered the race inferior. The Japanese initiated hard labor, little food, and bamboo huts.
The ultimate goal for the Japanese was to transform part of world, circling the sun, to an Asian Empire that was divinely
destined and manifested. My parents suffered greatly and at the end of the war my mother was 70 pounds soaking wet. The Japanese
soldiers were conditioned to salute their red ball flag and obey orders from their government like programmed robots.
When
the Japanese capitulated on August 15, 1945 the natives of Indonesia fought for freedom from Dutch colonialism. Rightfully
so, the Dutch had to become Indonesian citizen or get out; however, that process took some time. After capitulation the Japanese
government ordered the soldiers to serve in protecting the white race (Europeans) from the natives. So, the soldiers who terrorized
my parents where the same soldiers protecting my parents from the natives. The drama doesn't end here. After the Japanese
capitulated the British came and liberated the prisoners of the camp. The people lined the streets, and all of a sudden natives
came with guns and bamboo spears to the British. The natives asked which side should be spared. Of course, the officer in
charge could not answer. So, the natives took it upon themselves to kill those on the left hand side, but the natives
were unaware that the Japanese were hidden and shot and whacked the natives with their bayonets. In a peculiar twist the Japanese
saved the white population so despised by Imperialism from the native Indonesian.
Because
of my parents experience I have to examine the root cause of war manufactured by man. I observe the desire for power,
position, prestige, money; also the disease called nationalism, the worship of a flag; and the disease of organized religion,
the worship of a dogma. All these are the causes of war; if you are greedy for power, if you are envious, you are bound to
produce a society which will result in destruction. Every war harvest those seeds regardless of geography. It starts with
you and I who manufactures war and ends by taking responsibility to end this appalling misery. What can we do to stop
the manufacturing of war and live in peace?

Mulling over this issue pertaining to the Muslim cultural center. First, it is not a Mosque but a Muslim cultural center.
And digging deeper I find that the reason the Muslims desire to built a cultural center is to soften the long hostile chain
of America's foreign policy.
If this is true, than I recommend for the Muslim a cultural community center for
all faiths to correct mixed messages to young Muslims engendering anger and helplessness.
Our foreign policy is severely
flawed and hostile especially against Muslims, and erecting a cultural community center for all faiths will mitigate the belief
that Americans are to blame for their failing, sufferings, and violence. Building a Muslim cultural center has no power to
correct Muslim engendering anger and helplessness, but building a mix-faith cultural center can. A multi-cultural faith center
treats the root of the disease and sends a message to Israel that America is breaking the chain, a chain long over-due.

Everyday is a day to shop at your local stores.
I enjoy the personal atmosphere of a smile and a greeting from
a small business void of a clanging jumbo basket circling the isle looking at a line of stuff packed like sardines. These
harlot corporations degrades talent for money and uses a skill or ability in a way that is considered unworthy, always for
financial gain squeezing the throat of small business.
A small business offers aroma of pleasantness, a subtle impression,
and a sense of warmth comforting human frailty Big stores desensitize building resistance to the natural senses; it's like
using the wrong fuel degrading an engine's power. The inhale of this toxic fume has fried us and we have become like a robot

Two concerns:
First concern: A good mind does not fit into a particular pattern.
I certainly would not
boast our educational system. It rewards conformity and trains the student to fit into a corrupt society neatly packaged accepting
a bundle of traditional goods. For most of us learning means the accumulation of knowledge, of experience, of technology,
of a language, of a skill but I am asking whether the mind ever learns psychologically independently from authority, belief,
and attachment?
Second concern:
I am questioning the mentality of the audience cheering. Has Ms. Estrada become
the beast trapped in the ring of a matador working his cape and sword stabbing for blood heeding to the roaring crowd?
The
proud matador and the roaring crowd has no place in making intelligent decisions on education. I suggest a panel of clear
thinkers who has no interest in working the bull pit.

The editor missed a few points regarding to the threat of Iran developing nuclear weapons which we don t know. The goal;
however, would be deterrence to prevent an attack on Iran. That is basically the story. The other point is the Palestine and
Israeli conflict. It is the Palestine and Israeli problem that cause the instability of the region. America is the force that
can cease the apartheid creating a two-state. This was demonstrated clearly when the US told the Indonesians to pack and go
from East Timor. and the break-up of the African apartheid was a home run slugged by the US. It was the US that broke up the
two. Why can t US demand the same of Israel.
As you can see, Iran is not a military threat because Iran has virtually
no offensive military capacity. Its military spending is very slight , of course extremely small compared to US military,
but also pretty low by regional standards. Iran s military is to defend the border of the country and, in case they are attacked,
to try to delay invading forces sufficiently so as to permit a negotiated settlement. The primary threat is that Iran is engaged
in destabilizing its neighbors. It s trying to increase to it s influence in surrounding countries, particularly in Iraq and
Afghanistan. Iran does not follow orders, and therefore, it is a threat to the US and US control. Secondly, the nuke problem
is a world problem including Israel who is a state with nuclear power. A state who doesn t follow orders becomes dangerous
to the US, but not only Iran does not follow orders China and Russia doesn t follow orders either. The Red Lady has a bone
to pick and the Red Dragon is to powerful to tame. I love the US; however we have to re-think our relationship with states
who are defenseless and with states who are waiting for an opportunity to checkmate. Iran can t checkmate. It can de-stabilize.
The US would do well to re-think her relationship with Israel and the Middle-East. Diplomacy not scapegoat Iran is truly an
intelligent move to earn our place as a respectable power who leads with intelligence and not brute power.

You missed the point of my message. The city has three issues to deal with which I find significant:
1. Business
friendly.
2. Mitigate the poverty level. Remember, ninety percent of the people are poverty ridden. Poverty is not
having enough money to meet basic needs and expenses.
3. Confidence. Most people deeply mistrust the government and
find their leaders, which is ironically a reflection of society, ruthless and suffer from compassion fatigue. This is dangerous
in our present economic climate because poverty finds outlets besides shopping at a liquor store.
The issue is deep
and riding a few merchants as scapegoats certainly has the ingredient to back-fire. Unless poverty is mitigated, businesses
are treated well, and confidence is restored the city cannot grow because the root of the city's disorder is at a psychological
level.

I am not conviced that the full-body scanners or aggressive pat-down techniques are necessary to protect ourselves from
fanatics or defeat terrorism. We are seduced by terrorism, obsessed by the word terror, and the media feeds on our affair
with terror. I find that disconcerting and disturbing. It is a psychological madness which needs rethinking from full-body
scanners and aggressive pat-down techniques to Afghanistan and Iraq. Re-think.
On this day of reflection I weep for America. We have gone mad with fear and terror revolves around power and power revolves
around terror. We are fixated, crazed, and the media are subjected to implement this fearful propaganda. Personally, I do
not observe the media as a happy contributor but a victim of power having to feed power under undesireable circumstances.
The sadness of this craziness is that most of the population fail to question where, what, and who caused 911. It was not
Japanese Imperial or Nazi Germany but fanatics. America should have taken a different turn. It is time to re-think and to
awaken intelligence on Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, love-hate relationship with terror, and the Middle East. *****************
Insight:
Sgt. Lawhead has good intentions but does he understand the fundamental benefit of chaos? It is profitable
and beneficial for chaos to thrive. Clouding the mind confuses the citizen and deepens dependency on government. What happens
to a glass that is cleaned and becomes crystal clear?
Lots can be hidden under the veil of chaos and like a failed
state it depends on chaos to survive. Everyone is saturated with power. What power? A good politician does not recognize power
but the integrity of his or her office. An oath is administered to uphold and protect the integrity of the office. Most leaders
mitigate an oath to a promise.
Sgt. Lawhead writes:
our city has had two straight years of mounting debt; the
community has seen city-offered services decrease; city employees have been terminated and current employees are being asked
to do more with less; and businesses continue to leave the city at an alarming rate.
Sgt. Lawhead
Mounting
debt is the result of excessive spending and not having the money to do want we want to do. The economy can only adjust because
recovering is an illusion. a belief of the good old days. This downfall did not occur all of a sudden. I saw it coming from
looking at the big picture since the 1970 s.
A few suggestions for the city: Be business friendly. Improve the poverty
level. Poverty is not having enough money to meet daily needs, and ninety percent of the population fit the profile. Reduce
fines significantly. The people should not have to pay for a failed state or city. Restore confidence and the people will
restore government. Government restores confidence and having confidence the workers will restore government. If not, be prepared
for more crime, violence, and more chaos.

The rebuke is to the American people because of our marriage with the Federal Reserve and the printing press.
Insight:
The
G20 fall short in scoping the economical need of the world and mulling on the G20 I observe an underlying cause seeking world
dominance and economic supremacy.
Comment:
I wasn t surprised that nations barked at the Federal Reserve
buying $600 billion in Treasury bonds over the next eight months. It certainly would not help the world market by boosting
the sluggish global recovery artificially. It is a national policy that may not be in the world s economy s best interest.
Currency manipulation that will result in a lower value for the dollar does not boost but deepen economic woes. China, Germany,
and Brazil rejects US printing press because the world does not need floodgates pushing the dollar exchange lower and rather
set the brakes on hot money that could destabilize and inflate asset bubbles. Unless US change national policy and terminate
the marriage with the Federal Reserve the world will hold US accountable for failed national policies causing a global financial
meltdown, a checkmate for the Red Dragon.

A personal insight.
The prison problem can be resolved by acknowledging that most crimes are
drug related. We fail to address that the war on drugs is not a war but big business reaping huge profits and high employment
for many. Drugs is a money making machine, and if we address the nature of drugs from users to dealers to law enforcement
to lawyers to, judges, to prisons dependency ranks high for each. Unload the inmates and have educators, psychologist, psychiatrist,
re-habilitation houses, and clergy deal with drug offenders.
You may asked, when should the legal system interfere?
Well, If a driver is under the influence of drugs endangering others, for example, than make a arrest and toss the key. Driving,
for example, under the influence of alcohol is against the law. Arrest and toss.
Humanitarian effort is in vain pursuit
by taking a first offender to jail thinking that will help. It doesn't because a court record brands the offender, harms future
employment, and opportunities dwindle plus the shame or disgrace attached to an arrest, jail time, prison time is
regarded as socially unacceptable. We need to re-think and focus on the real issue of treating the disease free
from handcuffs, jails, and prisons. And perhaps if we view drugs as big business, at the expense of the offender, we can dig
deeper into the cause and find a wave of relief.

Without freeway expansion San Bernardino’s future is bleak
because growth depends on mobility and accessibility. San Bernardino has gorgeous historical homes with ample variety
opposed to modern homes void of character. The historical beauty of the city is occult to most because of blight, but striking
brightly the faculty of imagination and a dap of paint the rough diamond has potential to sparkle.
What is essential;
however, is to begin with a blank sheet of paper. Do not compareSan Bernardino with another city nor carve San Bernardino
into a new city. Instead work with the owners restoring their historical gems and offer incentives and sprinkle a dose
of confidence.
San Bernardino’s success is with the baby-boomer. The boomers are seniors from the 60’s
who has the intellectual compass of existentialism and depth of Socrates to Sarte. If treated well, boomers can help San Bernardino
roar kicking up feet sideways to the beat of the Charleston. No big box stores and no clanging jumbo baskets circling isles
looking at a line of stuff packed like sardines. Conformity glooms the boomer. Boomers like small businesses and hate harlot
corporations who degrade talent for money and uses skill and ability in a way that is considered unworthy, always for financial
gain squeezing the throat of small business. Boomers love the sound of pleasantness, a scent of vanilla and sage , a subtle
impression, and a sense of warmth comforting human frailty. Big stores desensitize building resistance to the natural senses;
it’s like using the wrong fuel degrading an engine’s power. The inhale of this toxic fume, an aroma of scandal,
has fried us and we have become like robots behaving mechanically and emotionally. Boomers are astute and recognize sleazy,
slippery, and snake mentality of warehousing, and if mistreated these rebels have the courage to take a road less traveled
and take their business elsewhere.

Truth-telling is dangerous and costly. We do not like to hear or speak
the truth, so we tone it down and cover it over. We mouth pleasant slogans which please and seduce and deny. A capitalist
society can pretend to be open; however, impossible because of its inherent disparity and caste mark laden with corruption.
A country based on inequaties is masked with pseudo transparency, a manufactured consent, effectively propagated by media.
Politians are seduced, crazed, committed to money and power, and certainly will not let the genie out of the bottle.

Walls are symbols of a time - Great Wall of China, Israeli West bank,
Gaza Strip, Peace Lines in Belfast, and Berlin, etc.
The Berlin Wall was born out of Soviet fear of the West, to bolster
the GDR and stop East Germans from leaving. Berlin is one wall. There are others. We have the ‘peace lines’ in
Belfast, in Northern Ireland – the walls dividing loyalist and nationalist communities from each other – which
have more than trebled in number since the peace process, as the fear between the two communities has failed to diminish.
We have the Great Wall of China to the Israel West Bank to the Gaza Strip. Walls have always been built for political reasons
and they are always a reflection of fear and a desire for security. Yet rather than bring security, they ramp up fear and
insecurity. But they are the symbol, not the cause, of division and when larger forces shift walls can come down, as the Berlin
Wall did.
Even so, people continue to have mixed feelings about the Berlin Wall and some are nostalgic for it, exemplified
by films like 'Goodbye Lenin'. But it's not the wall itself they miss but the life they had then, with its old certainties,
jobs for life and slower pace.
The writer noted that she was inspired and triumph democracy under God. I like to note;
however, that our nation has a host of walls: inequities, disparity, and caste rank. Further, the human-mind is loaded with
boundaries walls of conformity that ramp up fear and insecurity. As you can see, walls are much more than a physical barrier,
though they may be oppressive, they are also symbols of time.

A spiritual person does not seperate himself or herself from nature.
Personally, I find nature in all its moods. The rustle of the wind, the fine silvery stream, a moist breeze and dew wet after
a sprinkle of rainfall. I love the desert, a sacred place, where space and time cease. I love to see the sky strut and peacock
blue. I enjoy the wild stretch of white sand gracing the rolling hills and valleys of the desert. A place where the wind can
loosen my hair and blow dust from my cheeks, moist my lips from a gentle breeze, and sink my feet on a tapestry of water-washed
sand. I walk and mediate to unwind on the elm-girt woodland paths, listening to the murmur of rushing brooks, a joy, not found
in a thousand books. Watching the desert awakens my inner landscape and surrender the gloom warding off pain greeting the
imagination, seeing broad meadows and rock clefts is a elation.
In this place my mind is capable of saying, I do not
know. It is the only state in which anything can be discovered. But the man or woman who says, I know, he or she who has studied
infinitely the varieties of human experience and whose mind is burdened with information, with encyclopedic knowledge, can
he or she ever experience something that is not to be accumulated? He or she will find it extremely hard. When the mind totally
puts aside all the knowledge that it has acquired, when for it there are no Buddhas, no Christs, no Mohammads, no Rabbis,
no Reverends, no Masters, no teachers, no religions, no authority, no quotations; when the mind is completely alone, uncontaminated,
which means that the movement of the known has come to an end- it is only then that there is possibility of tremendous revolution,
a fundamental change. A religious man or woman is he or she who does not belong to any religion, to any nation, to any race,
who is inwardly completely alone, in a state of not knowing, and for him or her the blessing of the sacred comes into being.
It is this mind that has passion without a cause, a mind not projecting, a mind not seeking and is utterly still. Only then
that which is eternal and timeless comes into being.
***************************
When I meditate on the economy my mind drifts to mainstream corporations,
the culprit, and the root cause of our downfall. Recently, corporations are granted the first amendment rights - meaning a
constitutional guarantee of free speech, but how can a corporation who is power driven and does not have a moral conscious
have the guarantee of free speech as a human? Corporations are considered collectivist legal entities; but how can a corporation
have a state of existence or essence of character as a human? The existence and essence of corporate character equates with
power enriching the rich and their policies are void of flesh, blood, and moral compass.
Humans have existence like
corporations, but humans have the innate capacity, the essence, to be moral. Morality is independent from power because morality
equates with compassion. Since mainstream corporations are structured for power it does not have the intelligence to be compassionate.
Corporations are less than robots because collectively this character is anti-social and contributes nothing.
It was
a mistake for the Supreme Court to rule that the government may not ban corporations from political spending on elections.
The decision heralds even further corporate takeover of the US political system. The court has just handed much more power
to the small sector of the population that dominates the economy. Corporations are excellent in disguising their tyranny and
scapegoat the government for failed infra-structure, education, and un-employment, etc.
Corporations are protected from prisons, but what would you do with a
bad character who is harmful? Support or Squash? I recommend squashing the bad character because power and morality
cannot co-exist.

I am not convinced with Mr. Moodian’s argument to repeal don’t
ask, don’t tell policy in the U.S. armed forces. I do agree; however, that employment discrimination should never be
tolerated in civilian life but is military life similar to civilian life? I don’t think so. The military is a
specialized society that is different from civilian life In civilian life codes and conduct is significantly mitigated than
military life. Military life require code of personal conduct and demands of extraordinary sacrifice including the ultimate
sacrifice of Self.
Civilian life approves self-expression, speech, relationship, personal appearance, and modes of
behavior restricted on by the military. A matter of fact, military personnel have been punished for self-expression, speech,
relationship, personal appearance, as well as behavior. If Mr. Moodian’s argument had validity than the military has
no legal right to demand exemplified behavior because it would discriminate from civilian life. One example is saluting. In
civilian life we do not have to salute our leaders.
Mr. Moodian noted that influential men, who are gay, served the
military; men who agreed to a specialized life perfecting life codes and conduct. Outstanding gay men have contributed to
this specialized life by keeping their sex orientation aside. I am convinced that these talented men seeked military service
and had no interest attempting to validate nor desired to gain recognition of a lifestyle. They were men of passion who observed
the big picture not bound by petty primitive desires.
The military is not a laboratory to experiment homosexuality
and individual desires. It specializes in national security, discipline, and life codes, conduct, and combat training. The
appeal will mandate more training classes and too often neglected in assessing the impact of gays in the military is the essence
of the gay lifestyle. Gay men in particular exhibit an appetite for anonymous sex with many partners. Traditional base gathering
places — libraries, theaters, bowling alleys, gyms and athletic fields where both active-duty and military dependents
frequent — become targets of opportunity. Military families living on base, where one or both parents must spend many
months away from home, will be faced with one more concern regarding the well-being of their children. The military is about
life codes and conduct and the policy of don’t ask, don’t tell is moral because it serves the greater good of
a specialized society which is predominately straight regardless of color, religion, political ideology, and personality.

The word, "revitalize" means to breathe new life or energy. The project can be successful in re-storing historical
homes and have historical landmarks and historical resources surrounding the area. Historical properties are striking because
the architect offers the expression of an era and creative skill not conforming to the neighbor next door. Personally, I love
the era of the roaring twenties and the Spanish mission style home graced with arches, pillars, and stunning red clay title.
Destroying historical properties and using that energy to make it new is a step in the wrong direction. The only newness should
be rapid transportation and the expansion of the freeway. San Bernardino is nestled in nature's splendor and an intimate stylish
look of historical gems and small businesses is a way to go. Another feature that will complement the cozy setting are little
silvery streams blending history with high-tech.
Revitalizing is breathing new life, a dose of confidence, in the nostrils
of the citizens in that area mitigating the wild-wild-west approach from code-enforcement.
I welcome the theater because
every city needs a movie house, and Regal is in the business of making profit. I am sure that the entertainment group facility
has looked at all the players on the chess board. Personally, I will not miss the spiraling stair-case of the over-rated
Redlands theatre and rattling elavator packed like sardines
If this is truly a collective effort I welcome this
wave of good energy with support.

The professor writes eloquently but doesn’t recognize the psychological root of the disorder which commence with
our faulty educational system and interest in developing intellectual capacities opposed to original intellectual conception.
All thinking obviously is conditioned; there is no such thing as free thinking. Thinking can never be free, but it is the
outcome of our conditioning, of our background, of our culture, of our social, economic, and political background, etc. The
very books we read and the very practices we do are all established in the background, and any thinking must be a result of
that background. This of course, is not an cultural, political, or religious issue but a human issue. Most minds are fragmented
splintered into cultural and social tribes, political ideologies, and religious theologies. Most minds are contaminated by
society and is subjected to any influence, to the pressure of authority. Now, is it possible to think differently and seek
reality spontaneously so that we can become the right kind of citizen, which is not according to the pattern of any particular
society or government?
Most of us have developed intellectual capacities -- so-called intellectual capacities, which
are not really intellectual capacities at all -- we read so many books, filled with what other people have said, their many
theories and ideas. But very few of us, have original, intellectual conception. Having cultivated the intellect -- so called
-- every other capacity, every other feeling, has been lost and we have the problem of how to bring about a balance in our
lives so as to have not only the highest intellectual capacity and be able to reason objectively, to see things exactly as
they are - not to endlessly offer opinions about theories and codes, but to think for ourselves. This is one of our difficulties,
the incapacity to see, not only outward things, but also such inward life that one has, if one has any at all. *********************

COME, AND LET US REASON TOGETHER. The
editorial is naive about a belief that the Super-Committee had the intention to meet the dead-line. The Super-Committee never
had the intention to commit. Our dollar was cooked right along with the Turkey and trimmings. The Super Committee was assigned
to cut $1.2 trillion from the budget. Politicians are inherently self-interested in preserving their office and need votes
to do so. Why would ...politicians cut programs that
would jeopardize their re-election? Most likely, the Super Committee will retort to have the money be automatically cut from
discretionary spending. Because, one of the agreements from the August meetings was that if they don't come up with a
plan to cut $1.2 Trillion in spending by Thanksgiving, then the $1.2 Trillion is supposed to be cut from spending. In short,
they never had the intention. The American people had to believe that true diligence of a Super-Committee was at hand. Well,
the dollar was cooked, right along with the Turkey. Don't expect anything from federal-lawmakers.
TRUTH IS INDEPENDENT FROM ORGANIZED RELIGON AND THE
SHARIAH LAW. The letter is dealing with topics of the Christian religion as Truth and Shariah Law as the
foundation to support Truth. Let us examine. What do we mean by religion? Surely, not organized religion, not Islam or Christianity,
with beliefs, with propaganda, conversion, proselytism, compulsion, and so on. Is there any truth in organized religion? It
may be engulfed, enmesh truth, but organized religi...on itself is not true. Therefore, religion organized is false. It separates man from
man. We are so conditioned by organized religion to think there is truth in it that we have come to believe by calling one-self
a Muslim or Christian, whom one will find God. To find God, to find reality, there must be a virtue. Virtue is freedom,
and only through freedom truth can be discovered- not when you are caught in the hands of organized religi...on and beliefs.
And is there any truth in theories, in ideals, in beliefs? Why do we have beliefs? Obviously, because beliefs give security
and a guide. Religious organizations become as fixed and as rigid as the thoughts of those who belong to them. Life is a constant
change, a continual becoming, a ceaseless revolution, and because an organization can never be pliable, it stands in the way
for change; it becomes reactionary to protect itself. As you yourself are aware, the greed for power is almost inexhaustible
in a so-called spiritual organization; this greed is covered by all kinds of sweet and official-sounding words, but the canker
of avariciousness, pride, and antagonism are nourished and shared. Because of this growing conflict, intolerance, sectarianism,
and other ugly manifestations organized religion cannot be a bearer of Truth. Furthermore, since Islam is an organized religion
the Shariah is in error to enforce it as a Truth. Even though, American law and Shariah law has contents of Truth it is independent
of Truth. Truth like Morality stands alone free from organized religion and application of religious law like the Shariah
Law. Mr. Moore is correct by writing his view that the Shariah Law has no business formulating but neither is Chrisitanity
the true religion because it is organized. Also, because someone said so we belief. Life is a constant change, a continual
becoming, a ceaseless revolution, and because an organization can never be pliable organized religion and the Shariah law
based on religion stands in its way and becomes reactionary to protect itself. It is for this reason that both are fruit of
ugly manifestations and have no business in and outside the legal system.
NO ROAMING PUSSYCATS IN DOWNTOWN, PLEASE.
The
proposal by Mr. Overturf for a downtown Pussycat Theater luring Purring Pussycats Peddling Fur doesn't offer entertainment
for the family. We want family entertainment. San Bernardino is blessed to have Regal manage the theatre. The expansion of
the freeway makes this endeavor successful. The proposal of restaurants is a win. Seniors who grace the downtown can walk
to the venue. And people who...... work can enjoy a
lunch. Moreover; Route 66 can benefit. Imagine, one-half million visitors having a meal or two. Citizens of San Bernardino
are thankful to have a movie theatre and as a bonus, restaurants. On a warm note, if a people flock to the California Theatre
and pay premium price for live entertainment, they'll catch a movie at an affordable price. Either way, both are walking
distance from downtown famous historic Route 66.
BOOMERS ARE FIERCE SPIRITUAL REBELS A warmth felt letter.
However, the editor is a bit naive. The Baby Boomers are radicals who questioned authority and actively opposed the Vietnam
war, promoted women's rights, and protested for civil rights. Furthermore, they questioned the relationship between the
individual and society. Society is corrupt and change comes from the individual. The boomer is a mind-traveler and explores
dimension...s of consciousness beyond boundaries imposed
by religious, political, and social authorities. They explore the nature of reality and stretch their scope in consciousness.
I don't think the agile-mind-boomer will depend nor trust politicians nor corporate leaders. To the contrary, these astute
seniors have eyes like an Eagle and discern truth from falsehood. The politician and corporate leader should turn the clock
to the sixties and check-out these fierce spiritual rebels.
WHOEVER OPERATES FROM THE EGO IS UNFIT TO
RULE. Listening carefully to the Republican debates Mr. Cain is least qualified. The presidential hopeful has little knowledge
of foreign policy and global conflict management. He stumbled when he was asked about Libya and fumbled with the Iranian nuclear
issue. The Republican Party would benefit to endorse Mr. Huntsman or Mr. Paul. America needs a civilized person who
has a good perception in economic...s, foreign policy, and social issues. Mr.Huntsman has international experience with
China. And Mr. Paul is astute in the US Constitution and the Federal Reserve. The Iranian issue was addressed well by
Ron Paul. Smart politics is to work with Iran diplomatically not to sanction nor a threat to attack imagined sites. Furthermore,
our relationship with Israel should ease and recognition of a Palestine state priority. Moreover; a dose of fairness for the
twenty-first century having excellent skill in word opposed to drawing the sword. Sanctions, threats, and intimidation are
outdated strategies that stagnate progress. And wars initiated by America after the second world wars were illegal and immoral.
Ron Paul voiced courageously the illegality and our international military presence as interference. Republican presidential
candidates Huntsman and Paul are men who possess a good character. My view on water-boarding and torture are similar to the
candidates. Water-boarding is a barbarous trait and demeaning for America. We should employ civilized tactics to extract information.
Our torture policy has sabotaged the symbol of Lady Liberty in the world. Any candidate who endorses water-boarding is unfit
to represent the American people and world. Managing global conflict and diplomacy are crucial to the twenty-first century.
Rick Perry, Michelle Bachman is least favorable because of their extreme religious views Mr. Cain, Mr. Perry, and Mrs. Bachman
views are contrary to morality in a democratic society. Morality is independent of organized religion. The trio has little
knowledge about managing global conflict, diplomacy, and possess tunnel like perception. Newt Gingrich is the level
headed. However, his association with Freddie Mac raises a red flag to look at him more closely. New York Times supports the
proposal of Mr. Huntsman pertaining to job creation. For me, character is foremost and a candidate who has the guts to humanize
foreign policy and reform the United Nations having nations voice in the decision-making process mitigating the power of the
big five and abolishing their veto power. In the twenty-first century power-grabbing must be replaced with fairness and goodness.
And at the end my candidate who profiles honesty and integrity is Ron Paul.
Roll back to 2004 and set a two-term limit. The editorial
spurred my attention to question why the Board of Supervisors are suggesting to break down the fat and thin out? Why is the
board anxious whose paychecks have ballooned by eighty-four percent over the past decade? Traveling back in time to 2006,
voters approved Measure P, an initiative promoted for limiting county supervisors to three ter...ms. Short-sighted and greed the passing added an impact
of increasing their salaries by twenty-two percent the first year and by more than fifty-three percent by 2009. The chair
receives seven and one –half percent more. The new political culture is to travel back in time to 2004 and work with
a modest budget of $3.3 million and salary and benefits. Let’s take a look at their benefits. In 2007, County Supervisors
contributed to their budget’s growth by quietly voting to pad their benefit's packages. Their board retirement benefits
shot up from $7,514 to $16,640 annually. That’s on top of $13,000 to $28,210 per annum in health benefits, with no contribution
necessary. In May, supervisors rolled back those perks effective at the start of their next terms, reducing their retirement
contributions back to $7,514 and trimming their health benefits to many exempt county employees at a maximum county contribution
of $11,838 per annum. Supervisors still get an additional $2,400 cell phone allowance and $14,200 vehicle allowance, or a
county vehicle. As neighboring counties lowered supervisor salaries this past year, San Bernardino County’s supervisors
salaries dropped nearly $2,000 to $150,183. I am convinced that the Board of Supervisors are over-weight and need to thin
out and roll back to 2004 before asking others to take a drastic reduction.
AN EVENING WITH BEETHOVEN Tomorrow, my spirit
will exalt as Beethoven's music flows from the soloist fingers striking ivory rippling like murmuring rushing brooks.
And a joy, a passion not found in a thousand books. Only a few can move my intellect into depth where beauty glimpses into
perfection to greet my imagination into a sacred reflection.
DISENGAGE WITH THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM SETS YOU FREE. The real solution is to disengage with the financial system. Firstly, cancel your credit card(s) and refrain from loans.
Secondly, change the obvious trap of pensions and 401K into stock market-indexed retirement funds. Shift IRAs into gold and
silver-backed retirement funds, disallowing the speculators and gamblers on Wall Street. Third, transfer funds from banks
to credit-unions. Fourthly, re-think the principle of saving opposed to debt and consumption. Lastly, make your voice heard
on November 2012. The concept of, "Occupied Wall Street," developed from a silvery-steam into a raging-waterfall,
and awakened ninety-nine percent of the population.
CARVE OUT THE ENEMY THAT CAUSES THE EROSION IN
OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM I disagree with the editor pertaining to the concept of trimming and leaving in place the
enemy that causes the erosion in our education system. The time is ripe for the faculty, those who know the intricate
web, to rise and bear arms. Not by the sword but by word rising on behalf of the students to maintain position. Students are
braved and expect same from intellectuals who are equal oppressed. ...Students
and faculty should be one unmovable force and eliminate the hierarchy. Trimming the bureaucracy won't work because the
very thing that triggered the protest was left in place, the bureaucrats. Organize a system that is led exclusively by faculty
and rotate the task of administration. Unfair wages, school loans, and unreasonable tuition can only be eradicated by a new
economic base where the faculty and students have a voice. To manage conflict scales must balance. And bureaucrats have tipped
the scale and bend the curve of justice. To sum up, the bureaucrats are unfit to rule.
Gle, All life communicates by instinct. The bees and
whales communicate a language conditioned by instinct. However; humans have the ability to communicate in speaking, writing,
and reasoning. In addition, we communicate instinctively and subjectively. As a human I share the gift of life not to dominate
as proposed by mainstream religion. Do you know my nephew, Captain Stephen Glaser? I believ...e he works at Eguermin Mine Warfare School. Stephen followed his father's footsteps as a Royal
Dutch Naval Officer. I like to hear from him. Now, that we have settled the issue of communication, hope fully. If you like,
we can communicate in Dutch. And if I am not to forward, I like your picture on Facebook.
George-- Sophisticated societies treat punishment differently.
The punishment does not fit the crime because they implement an holistic approach. Everyone is treated equally. At the end,
the population enjoys a financial saving and a societal reward of good rehabilitation. The re-entrance of those inmates are
mitigated substantially. Our prison system humiliates, de-humanize, and invites the int...imate to return. I suggest a controlled but supportive
environment teaching life-skills plus emptying the mind of its violent content. Meditation, dialogue, counseling, exercise,
and learning to know yourself are fruit-bearing life skills. Examine our attitude towards crime and punishment policies. A
degree is not required but to observe and see things the way they are. You would have to agree that our society has failed
those who are locked up behind bars. All they hear is clinging and clanging of iron bars' closing. I propose opening the
doors and teach the art of mindfulness and to think correctly not based on conformity but clarity. To me, that is punishment
in itself to look closely who and what you are and to go forward from that Reality. We concentrate in building more
prisons because it is a lucrative financial enterprise at the expense of the prisoner and tax dollar. Our crime and punishment
policy is un-sophisticated and poor in spirit. To change the system, we have to alter the financial structure and look at
things differently. Simply don't build more prisons but create environments that support a healthy outcome.
Meditation Vladimir
Putnam has a secret desire to carve his destiny in granite stone next to Stalin. The Russians are under his spell, because
of his chameleon persona. His manner is like a gentle wind soothing the whimpers of whiney mummers. As a presidential hopeful
armored in reptile skin he promises democracy and voice. And his promises are solid until the last vote. Then he twitches
and emulates his dead hero and rule with hammering power nailing territories lost. And for twelve years silvery streams flow
in raging waterfalls throughout the Red State stamping Putnam the Great Pretender.

control the center of the Mid-East.

My
Sacred Dance is knowing that my heart and mind is birthed from the Universe.
We need to re-consider how we relate
to the Universe on a deep level. If we really understand that the Universe birthed us and all life, then perhaps there is
hope for a future for us to evolve differently. Why do we think we have a right to control nature and regard nature as inferior?
Nature is not to be used as a r...esource or a commodity
to exploit. Unless we alter our course of consciousness and observe nature as parts of the Universe our lives are brutal and
short. Furthermore, animals should not be used as a commodity on a chopping block. Animals are warm blooded creatures like
us with flesh and bones. They feel pain, express joy, and are fearful. Religion is the culprit that proposed the idea that
humans have dominion. Humans think they can control nature, but in fact, we are nature. If we destroy nature than we destroy
ourselves. Even so, how can nature be controlled since Earth is only a small part of the Universe? I would certainly agree
that Earth would benefit if humans simply disappear like the dinosaurs. Earth would restore its splendor, and animals would
flourish and roam freely rich in greenery and clean air. Oceans and rain-forest would be restored. Wisdom is to look deeply
into the history of the Universe, the creation of Earth, the genesis of life, and evolution of life. Furthermore, consider
the billions of inhabitants soon that will make an impact and imprint on our planet. How can we support all this abuse? I
consider all life as a creation of the Universe, and this is truly Sacred and Divine.
The
Muslim faith requires prayer five times per day facing Mecca. A prayer-call is sung as a reminder for the faithful and
announced on loud speakers. Muslims have the right to exercise prayer but why use a public announcement system? The
ordinance proposed by Jaffa ( Israel) is to cease the loud speaker because the loudness is noise pollution. I would
be totally annoyed by a call blasting on loud-speakers five times per day, especially in the morning. The ordinance offers
religious freedom and welcomes prayer-calls but without speakers. After-all speakers are a modern thing. And for those pious
a reminder to drop and pray is not essential. Religious tolerance is respecting not annoying other religions,
especially in a multi-faceted-religious country. Muslims feel discriminated. However; this it is a matter of noise,
a prayer-call that has no meaning to the Christian and Jew. The prayer-call is appropriate but like in the days of Mohammad
free from mico-phone vibrating loudly throughout air- space commonly shared. I am sure Prophet Mohammed (may he
rest in peace) would approve a resolution of a natural prayer-call and pass the proposed ordinance,
THE CONSTITUTION IS VIRTUALLY WIPED OUT BY SCHIZOPHRENIC LAWS. President Obama's approval of the National Defese Authorizaton Act virtually wiped out the Constitution. By the name
of, "terrorism" the National Defense Authorization Act is justified to shred the Constitution and replaced it with
an Iron Curtain philosophy. We are so fixated with, "terrorism" that imagined fear has been successfully ...passed by a lawless National Defense Authorization Act. This act is dangerous because anyone can
be arrested for winking the wrong way. What I find disturbing is that initially Obama was to veto the bill, and like a schizophrenic
along with Congress passed the act. Looking at this closely the people are also suffering from a mental illness to allow this
insanity to transpire. No one should be detained because the person is considered a suspect without a charge or trial. I am
sad that Old Glory deepened the insanity, and all by the name of, "terrorism." The approval of the act did more
than humiliated the Constitution. It spat and stomp and erased who we are as people and what we stand for.
FIGHTING, INSTEAD OF BEGGING CAN WE ACHIEVE AN EQUITABLE SHARE.
Economic change can be carried out only through overwhelming pressure from the masses. It is suicidal to bang our begging
bowls and hopes for change. It is even more so to hold on to an illusion that government can control or manage capitalism,
"in the interest of all." How can government manage capitalism for all? I do agree; that c...apitalism is managed well for big business. Even so, how does that bring about an equitable share
for the masses? Looking at reality, the masses of workers have depended on illusion long enough. So, put away your begging,
a hope in other New Deal type reforms, or pleas for the implementation of other such as programs by government and big business.
Only by mobilizing the masses of workers and other grassroots and fighting, instead of begging, for an equitable share of
what is truly the product of their labor, the wealth of nations, the working majority achieves economic security and human
dignity. And of course, this is democracy and freedom is all about.
AMERICA'S THREAT IS TO LOOK AND TREAT HER INNER COMPASS. Americans are fearful that China desires a take-over.
The Chinese being astute have no plan to play chess, at this time. The only interest China has is taking center stage economically
and protect Chinese's territory. America is bullet proof from external forces but not from current passionate internal
forces tucking and pulling the American... flag. The
downfall of America is having disgruntled Americans change the landscape and consequently, having wiggled room for external
forces to sabotage Lady Liberty from strength and power. I propose a face-lift where faces reflect a mirror of liberty and
justice for all. Concentrate on America's inner compass to negate the possibility for the external to ooze in. We are
concerned policing the world that our landscape is ridden with destructable weeds. The only thing that matter is having a
healthy home individually and home-land collectively.
MEGA MALLS PEARL HARBOR our SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE. Often, I wonder how corporate colonialism invades communities and extracts resources? What cause the dramatic change? Is
it because of our obsession to consume? Are people happy with the big-box opposed to small stores? Are we aware that corporate
power seizes the opportunity to supply a neurotic need? Furthermore, don't you think st...anding looking up to a giant concrete structure dehumanize? And like colonialism disperse whole
communities, mold an environment, profit, and take the spoils somewhere-else? What can we do to restore relationship and neighborhood
stores? I propose to disengage and re-build social and physical infrastructure. These parasites with the cooperation of government
stole our streets, acres of land, and take privately owned property (Eminent Domain) to make room. It is time to kick the
master out and re-claim our community and land. Remember, Mega-Malls are scorpions and wolves in sheep clothing that sting,
alienate, disperse, profit, and take the spoils.
REALITY SHOWS REFLECT WHO WE ARE AS A PEOPLE. I recently
noticed that television shows are on the rise depicting a strange relationship between law and order. It seems that society
is fixated and fascinated with bend reality and cop shows. Furthermore, it justifies why prisons are packed and a need to
build more. Looking at it closely, would you not agree that we are losing liberty and have become... a police state? The acceptance of violence mitigates freedom and justifies government control in
any shape or form. Television need to modify and offer shows of high-income offenders opposed to high-lighting the poor. In
addition, media should take a look at sophisticated societies and perhaps soften the impact of violence. The only solution
is to inquire into the nature of violence for television to change. We have to change in consciousness because corporation
runs the entertainment industry and work for profit. Unless we adopt a gentler model where violence is negated society becomes
police bound and violence the norm
ARE WOMEN REALLY LIBERATED PSYCHOLOGICALLY? Women asked
for liberation but yet lay on their back holding a begging bowl. When things don't go her way she plots to destruct. Instead
of standing tall and gird to learn new talent and skill, she succumbs to narcicisstic ways. "I am special." Now,
I find that most divorces are caused by women. Once married she finds fault and nags like a dripping fauce...t until satisfied. And if that doesn't work she hammers until the head of the nail is broken.
Furthermore, if the relationship fails most likely children have to be dealt with. "Is he a good father. Can he do it?"
In battle, she finds excuses and struts her nurturing instinct to take the rights of the man she dearly once loved. She belittles,
and yes she obsesses and juggles in her favor. "Is he?" she asks. Ladies, don't worry men are capable. Perhaps,
more because men don't carry the garbage, the grudge, the non-sense women bag. So, for those women who insist in bouncing
the ball alone I'll suggest sharing the basket in the court. Team work soothes the beast into a civilized person where
actions are fruitful. Smart women work with their former spouses, stand tall, and together the child can flower into a healthy
person. And for those who are childless re-think your position free from favors, a begging bowl, and turn on your inner compass.
The woman who understands will be pleasantly surprised how nature restores, and finds a reservoir of pure energy. Even so,
it is this energy that negates darkness into inspiration and flashes liberating insight
A MIND IN REVOLT IS CREATIVE, AWAKENED, AND COMPASSIONATE. The purpose of education is to mold, conform, and
imitate. At birth, the mind is blank like a white sheet, and unless parents are astute, the mind is shaped to mediocrity.
So, in our education, in our relationship with government, in our relationship with religion through various means, we are
being influenced to conform, to imitate. Wher...e,
then, lies the nature of creativity if clay is molded to a pattern? Is it possible for parents to shape the mind to be inquisitive,
curious, and explorative? We have lost to think out something original for ourselves. Everything is served on a platter. Should
not the mind be in revolt to understand the influences that are always impinging, interfering, controlling, and shaping? Parents
can teach the mind to be in a state of revolt not accepting but asking questions. If not, would you agree that those are the
factors of a mediocre mind that is always fearful and being in a state of confusion. And because of its condition to conformity,
it wants order, it wants consistency, it wants a form, a shape by which it can be guided and controlled. Would you not agree
that these forms, these various influences create a contradiction in the individual, create confusion in the individual? Then,
any choice between influences is surely still a state of mediocrity. A mind in a state of revolt can only be creative, and
it is this mind that is capable of shedding all influences, all interferences that stand in its way of being. Teach the young
to think, ask questions, explore, inquire, and examine. A conformed mind is violent opposed to a mind in revolt rejecting
mold and shape. That creativeness is not yours or mine, it is anonymous. It is possible for parents to teach their children
to think so that they are always in revolt thinking something original for themselves? And not to mold or shape into something
set in granite? It is very difficult to cut through granite, but the mind is pliable and able to being completely alone and
think things through to transform and shed all influences, all interferences.
FEAR IS THE KNOWN. "Government is not reason, it
is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left
to irresponsible action.” quoted George Washington. Don't you think that fear is a psychological condition?
It is something known that you feared? However; what if you observe your fear and understand the assumption that govern...s
fear. Then, what happens to fear? Would you agree, that fear dissipates and the cells in your brain mutate? Why do we fear?
Is it not that you have been conditioned to fear? A mind that is freer from its psychological condition is to be feared? The
only responsibility you have is to free its condition. If this is true, then, how can you be controlled by a master? What
is there to control if your mind is freer? Sure, you can imprison but how because of mutation be reduced to fear? What is
impossible is aimed fear to diminish who you are. The only fear that exists is the known. You know that government is brutal
and fail to reason. They can torture and even kill. However; inner freedom cannot be contaminated by brutal force or torture.
Freedom is to know your condition and boundaries, which have been imposed to secure false psychological security. A meditative
mind is not respectable even though it breathes in a certain society. It departs from the known to the unknown understanding
illusions that are feared. Dare to understand unexplored assumptions that govern your life. The realizations of those
assumptions secure the mind. The only fearful master who stands in its way to freedom is yourself.
IRAN LEANS ON THE DRAGON AND RIDES WITH HIS DAME TO A WIN.
The hand of the clock
is closing the old ringing in the New Year. America is celebrating. However; from afar, I hear a noise from a chorus and drums
pounding loudly climaxing crowds into a frenzy. It is the sound of a war ritual. The roaring and beating come from the Star
of David. Close by the camp I hear rapping and tapping of helicopto...rs hovering dropping paper like snow flakes, "It
is our duty to nuke." The rumbling rotating blades knifed my spirit. A few moments passed, then, fire leaped and spit
forcefully toward the center. The chorus shout, " It is our duty." The drummer laments, "The economy is in
a meltdown. The political elites are exposed. Capitalism is on the run. It is time to drop. It is either us or them."
Out of the orange-and red-lit sky a Red Dragon appeared and quenched the fire full of force. The world watched and feared
the dragon wagging his tail, and on his tail rode a great dame dressed provacatively holding a sickle and hammer. The dragon
offered comfort, and a man with a turban twirled sat next to the dame. The wisdom of this tale bombing Iran will back fire.
The plan has adverse consequences because Iran wins support from China and Russia, two un-approachable states. America
needs the duo in the future and would do well to re-think the scenerio.
ECSTASY I often ponder the nature of ecstasy. Most of
us associate ecstasy with religion or drugs. Even so, don't you think that is limited? We should ask, what is ecstasy?
Is it not being carried away by an overwhelming emotion? Could it be listening to sweet music in a perfect rapture? Perhaps,
there can be a state of elated bliss reading a book? Conversely, is it sexual, the climax between two ...people? Most organized religions choke on that concept. It is simply taboo. However; is it not a
state of expanded consciousness where the Self is abdicated binding and dissolving the senses into a perfect rhythm? The Self
is dissolved and then the only thing that remains is rhythm, the Universe. Yes, even in love-making when the self does not
exist the couple enjoys ecstasy. Ecstasy is doing what you love and abdicating self into a state of being.
Max Bin, What is more honorable collecting bottles and
cans or panhandling? Panhandling teaches people to obtain something for nothing. However, collecting bottles and cans takes
effort. Imagine, walking flesh to the bone jumping and digging into garbage bins hoping to earn a few coins. I have witnessed
souls' diving into a bin when temperature exceeds one-hundred. Surely, sweat pouring off the br...ow is not cherry picking for treasure. On a personal
note, I like you. Looking at your picture holding that sign, I see a man who sees things as they are. I love the way you look,
a man who dares to be himself. Accepting oneself is a rare quality and the only path to freedom. Accepting is loving and being
in touch with existence. Sure, most of us know of existence but to be in touch with your own existence is the experience of
being. And not to be imposed by boundaries of the outside but a movement within, a reservoir of true security.
The gentleman, Bruce Van Vorce wrote correctly,"
people are disillusioned and gave up." The drops of the jobless rate are not cheers of charm. To the contrary, alarm
bells are rung loudly. The results must reveal those who mitigated to part-time and whipped to defeat. People are astute and
use the tool of discernment when reading an article. Journalists are often humanitarians in vain pursuit. They are caught-up
un-aware in the web of supporting the establishment.
I am in agreement with John Hillman. However; let us be patient,
since we know where the error lies. San Bernardino is the second poorest city of the nation, Detroit being first. So, now
we know the weakness of San Bernardino. Let us, then, reverse the trend to good tidings, hospitality, and lowering fees. Gestapo
tactics of code-enforcement need an over-haul. Agencies have to place bullet-proof s...creens to protect themselves from the public. Of course, this is absurd. Walls are forms of apartheid
sending a message that the public is dangerous and staff must be protected. Actually, it is the other way around. The city-staff
is dangerous because it interrogates, punishes, and destroys the relationship. To change the tide, simple and direct policy
is wise and prudent. And eventually, barriers can be removed. The mission is accomplished if the apartheid walls and bullet-proof
windows are removed. For the wise, hospitality spurts a reservoir of energy to flower goodness and genuine partnership. And
not to squash the best asset government has, the confidence of the people. Truly, confidence is the only asset a government
has. What else does the government have?
Violence is deterministic; however, humans have the mind to engage in free will. A MEDITATION
ON A SUNDAY-AFTERNOON The animal is violent, and human beings, who are the results of the animal are pre-disposed of
that characteristic viewed as deterministic. Because humans evolved from the animal, it has a peculiar flair and love for
wars and conflict. This is certainly shown by thousands of wars a...nd
as consequence humans developed an ideology of non-violence. The ideal of non-violence is also deterministic and wired in
the brain. Since humans are the result of the animal, and violence is wired in the brain is it possible to be free from violence?
I question if the brain is capable observing violence not as an ideal or ideology but fact? To look into violence the mind
needs energy and freedom for the action of the insight or free will to approach. This requires deep meditation seeing the
fact of violence, and not only outside of you but also inside of you. The fact is that you are violent, and it cannot be eradicated
by any ideology through which you think can get rid of violence. The brain is so conditioned and pre-wired to violence and
the ideology about violence, and the ideology to be free oneself of violence. The flash of insight is free will in action
that negates time and rids the violence not having to preach non-violence or go on showing violence. So, if one is capable
of looking at violence and understanding it, then perhaps there is a possibility of resolving it totally. And that is free
will in action, an un-deterministic characteristic not embodied by any other animal except the human-being.
The comment by Mr. Perez is very interesting that when you live in a dump your part of the
trash. I find that a deterministic point of view and question if people have the free will to look at things differently.
Mr. Perez believes that a person has the pre-deposition to become part of the trash when living in a dump. However, the mind
also has the pre-deposition to employ free-will, which is the ...action of the insight, to question and examine the environment
and words relating to dumping and trash. Perhaps, we can look at the environment, dumping, trash, and comment differently.
For example: "When you live in a dump, you have the opportunity to find treasure ad mist the trash." "Some
polished politicians who live in up-scale neighborhoods possess a trashy character that twists and turns like the famous crooked
street in San Francisco." Secondly, Mr. Perez depicted San Bernardino as dumpy and trashy. Cities surrounding San
Bernardino are not immune from violence. And broadening the scope the United States has the highest prison population in comparison
to other countries. Since, this is the case San Bernardino cannot be singled out. The nature of violence is an approved contract
composed of political, social, and economic inequities. Since violence is a national issue, San Bernardino like most cities
is a mixture of the good, bad, and ugly. However; a healthy mind regardless of the environment is always empowered to improve
instead of succumbing to weakness having no hope for tomorrow.
President Obama crowned himself as the Imperial King when he signed indefinite
detention without charge or trial into law on New Year's Eve. Furthermore; he has eroded democracy and accelerated a police
and war state and choked the Constitutution and the Bill of Rights. The National Defense Authorization Protection Act depicts
President's Obama persona in domestic and foreign policy. The president... runs un-opposed and can be defeated by questioning his stance on anti-democratic issues. Unless
his occult policies are exposed vigorously 2012 is the year of Obama. America was founded on individual freedoms and terminated
the rule and role of a king. The candidate I observe formidable to the Obama campaign is Mitt Romney. The Republican presidential
hopeful has the daring and the audacity to challenge gracefully and convincingly. The Mitt Romney today is not the man I saw
and heard four years ago
The editorial fails to look at the big picture of Ron Paul and his politics. The Republican Party would benefit to endorse Mr. Paul. America needs a civilized person who has good perception in economics,
foreign policy, and social issues. Mr. Paul is astute in the US Constitution and the Federal Reserve. The Iranian issue was
addressed well by Ron Paul. Smart politics is to work with Iran diplomat...ically not to sanction nor a threat to attack imagined
sites. Furthermore, our relationship with Israel should ease and recognition of a Palestine state priority. Moreover; a dose
of fairness for the twenty-first century having excellent skill in word opposed to drawing the sword. Sanctions, threats,
and intimidation are outdated strategies that stagnate progress. And wars initiated by America after the second world wars
were illegal and immoral. Ron Paul voiced courageously the illegality and our international... military presence as interference.
Republican presidential candidate-hopeful, Ron Paul has keen insight and good character. My view on water-boarding and torture
are similar to Mr. Paul. Water-boarding is a barbarous trait and demeaning for America. We should employ civilized tactics
to extract information. Our torture policy has sabotaged the symbol of Lady Liberty in the world. Any candidate who endorses
water-boarding is unfit to represent the American people and world. Managing global conflict and diplomacy are crucial
to the twenty-first century. Rick Perry, Michelle Bachman is least favorable because of their extreme religious views Mr.
Perry, and Mrs. Bachman views are to the contrary pertaining to morality in a democratic society. Morality is independent
of organized religion. The trio has little knowledge about managing global conflict, diplomacy, and possess tunnel like perception.
Newt Gingrich is the level headed. However, his association with Freddie Mac raises a red flag to look at him more closely.
For me, character is foremost and a candidate who has the guts to humanize foreign policy and reform the United Nations having
nations voice in the decision-making process mitigating the power of the big five and abolishing their veto power. In the
twenty-first century power-grabbing must be replaced with fairness and goodness. And at the end my candidate who profiles
honesty, and integrity is Ron Paul.
When ethics have a cause, it becomes corrupted because
it serves those who desire self-extension and self-fulfillment. The ethic is a distraction from, "what is." In the
acceptance of, "what is," striving for truth ceases.

A just society is when natural and legal rights universally reflect and complement.
I am pleasantly surprised at the daring and audacity of the women from the Middle East. These amazing women are champions
protesting in front and center, and in face of grave provocations stand tall and proud. Most of us depict these women as doe-eyed,
veiled, and submissive. And no-one would believe that these e...xotically
silent, gauzy inhabitants of imagined harems, closeted behind right gender roles can organize and mobilize. To the contrary,
they are like the fierce Gurkhas un-matched in skill echoing relentlessly their natural right. The greatest shift and achievement
are education. Education paved the way to battle for freedom, and freedom is simply a logical extension of democracy. And
how can you stop an impossible force of awakened women and their fight for freedom? Not even the Taliban can discourage their
potential nor Saudi Arabia with their restrictive gender policies. This is only the beginning for the Middle East pertaining
to democracy. The West would do well to stay out and not interfere with their revolution. In short, the struggle is welcomed
by the population not to be resolved by Western power or by Nato. And to add a warm note, hopefully the revolution is contagious
and send a wave of courage to fight for our natural right opposed to the legal right that are bestowed on to a person by the
law of particular political and legal system, and therefore, relative to specific cultures and governments. Even so, both
must reflect and complement human-rights universally.
PROSTITUTION I propose legalization to resolve immediate related issues and education to
change attitude and rise above objectification. The epidemic of prostitution must be considered a top priority. No city
is immune from the oldest occupation. The short-skirted almost bare-butt bitches prancing in stilettos are more than a nuisance.
A host of related crimes is associated with street hookers f...rom gangs, pimps, drugs, and Johns'. These tainted
chicks need their own place to roam legally instead of prowling for bait in neighborhoods. And to my surprise, men dressed
stylish in a tie and suit are most eager to host. It certainly is not the homeless who throws them a coin or two for a trick.
They can't afford to keep them in stilettos. The Dutch put these dames in a red-light district. There they can glow and
glean and strut like a peacock selling their stuff for a Euro. The men love to window shop, and the government loves the tax.
The Dutch would do well to add education and counseling since prostitution is a sexual exploitation that inflicts both. Humans
have the capacity to rise above the animal and experience sex freer from being objectified. Perhaps, if we take the
approach of legalization and education, we have a healthier society.
The Good, Bad, and Ugly San Bernardino was braved
to come forward. However; I resent having San Bernardino be a scapegoat for cities who experience the bad and ugly. Every
city has the good, bad, and ugly. Other cities hide, but I can assure that if we look closely violence is everywhere. Violence
is not reserved to a particular city or social status because human beings, which are the result of the animal are violent.
It is part of our being to be angry, to be jealous, to be envious, to seek power, position, prestige, and all the rest of
it, to be dominant to be aggressive. And this is shown by thousands of wars.
Listening closely and meditating on the South Carolina Republican debate, I observe that Ron Paul
is the only candidate who is not owned by the military-security complex, Wall Street, and the Israel Lobby. All the others,
including President Obama, are owned by exactly the same interest groups. There are no differences between them. Every candidate
except Ron Paul stands for war and a police state...,
and all have demonstrated their complete and total subservience to Israel. The fact that there is no difference between them
is made perfectly clear by the absence of substantive issues in the campaigns of the Republican candidates. More importantly,
only Ron Paul respects the US Constitution and its protection of civil liberty. Ron Paul understands that if the Constitution
cannot be resurrected from its public murder by Congress and the executive branch, then Americans are lost to tyranny. Time
is running out in which to revive the Constitution. One more presidential term with no habeas corpus and no due to process
for US citizens and with torture and assassination of US citizens by their own government, and it will be too late. Tyranny
will have been firmly institutionalized, and many Americans from the lowly to the high and mighty will have been implicated
in the crimes of the state. Since Paul will not be elected as president, by 2016 American liberty will be forgotten and buried
in a grave yard tightly sealed and sold under the sacred canopy of, "terrorism." However; meditating deeply, there
is hope at the end of the tainted-rain-bow. The seed sown by Ron Paul takes root and harvest when our great-grand-children
revolt and faces the challenge to restore the Constitution and Liberty.
Meditation is bathing in perfume sprinkling fragrance splashing scent sanctifying the brain.
MEDITATION AND FREEDOM OF THE WILL Adding to Socrates's famous words of life and examination is that the measure
of free will is self-knowledge. Surely, meditation is the ointment that keeps the brain vibrant regardless of age. Bathe in
meditation and watch yourself, know yourself, be yourself and take t...he
responsibility for yourself. In other words: Without meditation there can be no freedom of will. For those who understand
the view of determinism is for old dogs not able to learn new tricks. Our gift from the Universe is the ability to explore
into our consciousness. Our mind has the capacity to expand to the outer-limits of the Universe and practice the craft of
free-will by reflecting and allowing fantasies to play.
Violence is deterministic; however, humans have the mind to engage in free will. A MEDITATION ON A SUNDAY-AFTERNOON The animal is violent, and human beings, who are the results of the animal are pre-disposed
of that characteristic viewed as deterministic.
Perez is very interesting that when you live in a dump your part of the trash.
I find that a deterministic point of view and question if people have the free will to look at things differently. Mr. Perez
believes that a person has the pre-deposition to become part of the trash when living in a dump. However, the mind also has
the pre-deposition to employ free-will, which is the ...action of the insight, to question and examine the environment and words relating to
dumping and trash. Perhaps, we can look at the environment, dumping, trash, and comment differently. For example: "When
you live in a dump, you have the opportunity to find treasure ad mist the trash." "Some polished politicians who
live in up-scale neighborhoods possess a trashy character that twists and turns like the famous crooked street in San Francisco."
Secondly, Mr. Perez depicted San Bernardino as dumpy and trashy. Cities surrounding San Bernardino are not immune from
violence. And broadening the scope the United States has the highest prison population in comparison to other countries. Since,
this is the case San Bernardino cannot be singled out. The nature of violence is an approved contract composed of political,
social, and economic inequities. Since violence is a national issue, San Bernardino like most cities is a mixture of the good,
bad, and ugly. However; a healthy mind regardless of the environment is always empowered to improve instead of succumbing
to weakness having no hope for tomorrow.
