The Japanese Jean Paul Sarte
John
Paul Sartre would have had a successful career as a seismic engineer in Japan. Deaths of Japan mitigated substantively opposed
to the diasters in Pacific and South Pacific calculating tens of thousands lost lives. Japan's metaphysical sense of seismic
engineering and cohesive culture certainly is worthy observing preparedness i...n action during and after the earthquake and tsunami. The psychological dimension of the Japanese
in time of disaster is remarkable to an observer. There were no reports of looting or criminal behavior; instead people remained
calm and took an existentialist approach.
Debt is a social and ideological construct not a simple economic
fact.
The letter fails to recognize
that debt is a social and ideological construct not a simple economic fact. Policy decisions are choices by the powerful,
based on perceived self-interest, not mysterious 'economic laws'. Technical devices to alleviate their worst effects were
proposed years ago, but have been dismissed by powerful interests that benefit.
The old-fashioned idea is that responsibility
falls upon those who borrow and lend. Money was not borrowed by assembly plant workers or slum-dwellers. The mass of the population
gained little from borrowing, indeed often suffered grievously from its effects. But they are the ones who bear the burdens
of repayment, along with taxpayers - not the banks who made bad loans or the economic and military elites who enriched themselves
while transferring wealth abroad and taking over the resources of their own countries.
Oil and instability is at stake not liberation
and stability.
There is a standard playbook supporting a favorite dictator. When it is no longer feasible,
Kaddafi’s inner circle will have no further alternative but to turn against the dictator and plan a plot for the lion
to die in the barren desert, forget about him, and issue a ringing declaration about how the military is on the side of the
people
is the icon
of an
eleven story
courthouse.
I disagree with the philosophy
that an eleven story courthouse is an icon of our faith in the justice system. The time is ripe for Leviathan because of the
social injustice and laws supporting inequities widening the gap between the rich and poor. Most likely, the courthouse will
add more stories in the future. The budget crisis ...is
the revelation of social injustice, and having the poor, elderly, and disabled pay for their sins stirs the soil of corruption.
I am not convinced that the Sun will shine brightly on California because laws are carved to power and serve the elite. The
villainy which cut the budget for the poor, elderly, and disabled will intensify an overwhelmed and anxiety ridden society
that has no further alternative but to revolt. Desperation spurs a revolution that persistently questions social injustice
until blinders of ignorance are removed.
Social and Political Injustice.
I read the letter from the professor asking administrative,
penalties, affirmative disclosure, and a sunset commission. Government has degenerated in fortitude and find it essential
to generate the need to have transparency laws to justify and substantiate salaries. Why are the people surprised at bloated
salaries and perks? Our budget crisis is the revelation of social and political injustice.
Well Done San Bernardino
I congratulate the team on hosting this St. Patrick
festival implementing a touch of magic and joy. The team creatively painted an Irish culture colored brightly in green and
captured the atmosphere with lively music and traditional food. I loved the melodies of songs and the rapping and tapping
of shoes clicking on the pavement.
I congratulate the team

I
agree that quality has precedence over quantity if there is sufficient personnel to service the population. I do not agree;
however, aggressive nor laissez-faire approach are effective tools because skill is a craft that requires wisdom and middle-path
implements based on listening, discerning, and leading.
I admire people at the
kettle ringing the bell for hours smiling hoping to receive a few dollars. I love the ring because sound is excellent for
the mind to awaken the senses and be attentive to give and be reflective to the spirit of the red kettle, a symbol of passion.
It is the domation from the red kettle that showered Manette with a blessing anda place of comfort.

A good message from
the editor.
I enjoy the personal atmosphere of a small business void of clanging jumbo baskets circling the
isle looking at a line of stuff packed like sardines. These harlot corporations degrade talent for money and uses skill and
ability in a way that is considered unworthy, always for financial gain squeezing the throat of small business.
Good-bye
big box stores
A
small business offers aroma of pleasantness, a subtle impression, and a sense of warmth comforting human frailty Big stores
desensitize building resistance to the natural senses; it's like using the wrong fuel degrading an engine's power. The inhale
of this toxic fume has fried us and we have become like robots behaving mechanically and emotionlessly.
For me, community
shops excites me, inspires me, and forever, I am thankful for the small business owner and the fortitude that sheds light
to the sleazy, slippery, and snake mentality of Big Box Business.
Well done San Bernardino
Without the freeway expansion
San Bernardino’s future is bleak because growth depends on mobility and accessibility. San Bernardino has gorgeous historical
neighborhood with ample variety opposed to modern homes void of character. The historical beauty of the city is occult to
most because of blight, but striking brightly the faculty
of imagination and a dap of paint the rough diamond has potential to sparkle.
What is essential; however, is to begin
with a blank sheet of paper. Do not compare San Bernardino with another city nor carve San Bernardino into a new city. Instead
work with the owners restoring their historical homes and offer incentives and sprinkle a dose of confidence.
San Bernardino’s
success is with the baby-boomer. The boomers are seniors from the 60’s who has the intellectual compass of existentialism
and depth of Socrates to Sarte. If treated well, boomers can help San Bernardino roar kicking up feet sideways to the beat
of the Charleston. No big box stores and no clanging jumbo baskets circling isles looking at a line of stuff packed like sardines.
Conformity glooms the boomer. Boomers like small businesses and hate harlot corporations who degrade talent for money and
uses skill and ability in a way that is considered unworthy, always for financial gain squeezing the throat of small business.
Boomers love the sound of pleasantness, a scent of vanilla and sage , a subtle impression, and a sense of warmth comforting
human frailty. Big stores desensitize building resistance to the natural senses; it’s like using the wrong fuel degrading
an engine’s power. The inhale of this toxic fume, an aroma of scandal, has fried us and we have become like robots behaving
mechanically and emotionally. Boomers are astute and recognize sleazy, slippery, and snake mentality of warehousing, and if
mistreated these rebels have the courage to take a road less traveled and take their business elsewhere.
San
Bernardino the Beautiful
San
Bernardino has historic significance and creating an atmosphere for seniors is definitely a plus. My recommendation: *develop
the historic neighorhood, restore confidence, develop small businesses, develop an artistic environment, and recruit seniors.
Refresh the faculty of imagination that can creatively challenge negativity i...nto the good. Don't compare San Bernardino with another
city or carved it into a new city; instead begin with a blank sheet of paper. *Develop not through eminent domain or corporate
welfare. beautify historical homes, develop a sense of pride in owning a historical home, work with the home-owner, develop
mom and pop businesses, artistic entertainment, friendly advertisment recruiting seniors. And remember baby-boomers are seniors
from the 60's who has the intellectual compass of existentialism that appreciates the dynamics of the roaring twenties.
Keep your hands off the desert tortoise.
Please, halt the eminent domain and cease the
bulldozer from removing thousands of acres and habitat graced by important desert tortoise. Humans are species like no other;
a brain not bound to biology because of its capacity to perceive has chosen the role of a false master and lover of nature
in an ingenious way plundering and raping natural resources each day. Take your alternative of generating energy elsewhere.
Don't be fooled
I am not convinced
that Republicans differ much from the Democrats. The media does well to frame two vastly different political ideologies, but
looking closely I find that the Republicans and Democrats are consistent across partisan lines and appear more as two wings
of the same ideology.
Re-think
and focus on the real issue and fact
The prison problem can be resolved by acknowledging that most crimes
are drug related. We fail to address that the war on drugs is not a war but big business reaping huge profits and high employment
for many. Drug business is a money making machine, and if we address the nature of drugs f...rom users... to dealers to law enforcement to lawyers
to, judges, to prisons - dependency ranks high for each. Unload the inmates and have educators, psychologist, psychiatrist,
re-habilitation houses, and clergy deal with drug offenders.
You may asked, when should the legal system interfere?
Well, If a driver is under the influence of drugs endangering others, for example, than make a arrest and toss the key. Arrest
and toss.
Humanitarian efforts are in vain pursuit by taking a first offender to jail thinking that will help. It doesn't
because a court record brands the offender, harms future employment, and opportunities dwindle plus the shame and disgrace
attached to an arrest, jail time, prison time is regarded as socially unacceptable.
We need to re-think and focus on
the real issue of treating the disease free from handcuffs, jails, and prisons. And perhaps if we view drugs as big business,
at the expense of the offender, we can dig deeper into the cause and find a wave of relief.
Mitigating a raging waterfall
I read the letter twice and as a baby boomer,
sixty-four years young, I recommend a shift away from nursing homes and hospitals into a less expensive care like community
centers or care in their own homes. Personally, I have more faith in non-governmental solutions. Perhaps, transferring a good
portion to non-profits. Non-governmental offers opportunities and alters the bleak outlook for long term care and has the
moral compass to mitigate a raging waterfall into a fine silvery stream.
Don't
fool the babyboomer
I agree with Mr. Freeman
because Social Security is based on an extremely dangerous principle that you should care whether the disabled widow across
town has food to eat. Reformers would rather have you concentrate on maximizing your own consumption of goods and subordinating
yourself to power.
Baby Boomers are going to impose a grea...ter burden on the system because the number of working
people relative to the elderly will decline; however, what happened to the Baby Boomers when they were zero to 20? Weren’t
working people taking care of them? And it was a much poorer society then. In the 1960s the demographics caused a problem
but hardly a crisis. The bulge was met by a big increase in expenditures in schools and other facilities for children. The
problem wasn’t huge when the Baby Boomers were zero to 20, so why when they’re 70 to 90? The relevant number is
what’s called the dependency ratio of working people to population. That ratio reached its lowest point in 1965. It
won’t reach that point again until 2080, according to Social Security Administration figures. Projections that far ahead
are meaningless. Furthermore, any fiscal problem that might arise in caring for the elderly "boomers" has already been paid
for, by the payroll tax rise of 1983, designed for this purpose. And by the time the last "boomer" has died, the society will
be far richer, with each worker producing far greater wealth.
Now, digging deeper into the nature of Mr. Freeman's
messagel who benefits from Social Security? Financial Institutions of the underlying population? Why are we not reforming
Health Care? Can you go after a health system under the control of insurance companies and pharmaceutical corporations?
In
a nutshell, Mr. Freeman's letter is truthful. The real and very serious crisis (health care) is no crisis, and the non-crisis(social
security) requires drastic action to undermine an efficient system that is quite sound. We are lready past the crisis.
Anything that comes is just a matter of one or another kind of adjustment. Boomers are astute and we reject raising the age,
maximizing consumption, and subordinating to power. So, please, take your propaganda of "no new entitlements,"Feb 8 elsewhere.
The awakening power of networking
Do not under estimate the power of networking.
Networking on the internet caused the triumph of the Egyptians. Young Egyptians network on the internet utilizing face book,
u-tube, twitter, and removed in thirty days a thirty year brutal regime. The Egyptians taught that the art and skill of networking
is far more superior than political or military power. Egypt birthed the power of networking and the world watched as their
role model implemented a enterprising and lucrative tool.
Tear down that wall
Walls
are symbols of a time - Great Wall of China, Israeli West bank, Gaza Strip, Peace Lines in Belfast, and Berlin, etc.
The
Berlin Wall was born out of Soviet fear of the West, to bolster the GDR and stop East Germans from leaving. Berlin is one
wall. There are others. We have the ‘peace lines’ in Belfast, in Northern Ireland – ...the walls dividing loyalist and nationalist communities
from each other – which have more than trebled in number since the peace process, as the fear between the two communities
has failed to diminish. We have the Great Wall of China to the Israel West Bank to the Gaza Strip. Walls have always been
built for political reasons and they are always a reflection of fear and a desire for security. Yet rather than bring security,
they ramp up fear and insecurity. But they are the symbol, not the cause, of division and when larger forces shift walls can
come down, as the Berlin Wall did.
Even so, people continue to have mixed feelings about the Berlin Wall and some are
nostalgic for it, exemplified by films like 'Goodbye Lenin'. But it's not the wall itself they miss but the life they had
then, with its old certainties, jobs for life and slower pace.
The writer noted that she was inspired and triumph
democracy under God. I like to note; however, that our nation has a host of walls: inequities, disparity, and caste rank.
Further, the human-mind is loaded with boundaries walls of conformity that ramp up fear and insecurity. As you can see, walls
are much more than a physical barrier, though they may be oppressive, they are also symbols of time.
Bon Appetite
Humans eat with their eyes especially kids. I
recommend colorful cartoon designed plates and utensils. Napkins of superman or superwoman would add to the stimulation. Perhaps,
staff can dress like mickey mouse or tinker bell and tell a little story of how good vegetables and fruit are for growing
boys and girls. Kids love cartoon characters.
We are fixed, crazed, and seduced by terror.
I am not conviced that the full-body scanners or aggressive pat-down
techniques are necessary to protect ourselves from fanatics or defeat terrorism. We are seduced by terrorism, obsessed, and
crazed by the word terror. I find that disconcerting and disturbing. It is a psychological madness which needs reth...inking from full-body scanners and aggressive pat-down
techniques. We have gone mad with fear and terror revolves around power and power revolves around terror. We are fixated,
crazed, and the media are subjected to implement this propaganda madness.. Personally, I do not observe the journalist as
a happy contributor but a victim having to dance to the beat of their employer. The sadness of this craziness is that most
of the population fail to question who caused 911. It was not Japanese Imperial or Nazi Germany but fanatics. America should
have taken a different turn. It is time to re-think and to awaken intelligence on Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Middle East,
and love-hate relationship with terror.
Speak softly
The
Chinese government can help but not without the fair share of the US and regional allies.
North Korea is one of the
most horrible countries in the world, nothing good to say about it and mitigating the conflict is a tricky balancing act that
calls for diplomatic whispering, not shouting. Beijing wants to avert a spiraling standof...f between its two neighbors. North Korea depends on
China for economic and diplomatic support; it can bristle against overt pressure but does not bend to China wishes pertaining
to nuclear ambition. On the other hand, South Korea is an important trade partner of China and behind Seoul stands the military
power of America, which Beijing worries about. China’s responsibility is to preserve a state of peace between North
and South of the Korean peninsula, and an independent North Korea that can serve as a buffer between China and US. Ties between
these two countries are intensely secretive and Pyongyang can be a prickly partner. China has not openly said that North Korea
favors its call for emergency talks, and if Pyongyang was on board, Beijing would be likely to advertise that point. For now,
at least, North Korea may be too preoccupied with the confrontation with Seoul to pay much heed to China. It is recommended
that the Dragon walks gingerly and not punch the table misbehaving pushing North Korea in an corner. It is wise for the US
and regional allies to whisper and rock the prickly baby to comfort with economic and diplomatic support. Independence, economic
support, and diplomatic support are tools essential to quench the thirst of a madman. The Chinese government can help but
not without the fair share of the US and regional allies.

Instability is the perfume and intoxication of any revolution
confined to Sheikhdoms and Kingdoms. These young folks were rejuvenated by a whiff of aromatic sage and felt a warm breeze
from desert sands evolving an awakening of intelligence. The seed is sown and time is the ally for the protestors
in North Africa and the Middle East knowing the fruit of instability is prudent and wise and toxic for the vain
and ignorant. Beneath the appearance of calm, the Saudi royal family and King Abdullah have been consulting frantically
with the other Gulf Sunni feudal sheikhdoms – from Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates to Qatar and Oman while the Lion
of the North African desert roared. It is time for the Lion to retire and Sheiks and Kings to follow suit before instability
takes an occult turn.

Lighting and Pot Holes
I am puzzled to the heighten of awareness pertaining
to lighting and pot holes. The city has an obligation to comply up to code similar to citizens who are expected to groom lawns,
brush up, and maintain their properties. Code enforcement is a two-way affair. I look forward to having my disadvantage neighborhood
shine brightly.
Media and Truthtelling
The media failed to address truthfully safety
retirement compensation that served the top well ripping the foundation of the pyramid to cut-throat tactics stealing the
fruit of labor. Please, do not subject the public servant to humiliation and sugar coat submission as heroic. I recommend
a class action suit.
Dear Mr. Hagen,
I read your letter and I agree wholeheartedly
that you should not have to pay for mismanagement nor should you be depicted as a hero or serve as a bailout. Fight and teach
that swiping are humanitarian efforts in vain pursuit. You are morally obligated to take action, and I am confident that you
will achieve good results. Sincerely, Deanna
Longville, running for council?
Mr. Longville possesses keen debating skills,
offers excellent experience, and enjoys political contact. However, why is the former mayor of Rialto interested serving as
a council member for the second ward? Does Longville have concealed interests? Is he sincere and honest? I was hoping only
one would run against Longville because two candidates give Longville an edge.
Marketing and social policy.
I
propose taxing marketers, which create products that are convenient, tasty, fun, and provide a great source of comfort. The
marketer’s goal is to sell and pays no attention to waist-lines or healthier outlook on life. When you ask if obesity
is a marketing and communication issue, the answer from these sleazy slippery snakes is no. Marketing is communication and
smart packaging, and sassy advertising has played a part in the dangerous surge in child obesity. Children’s eyes bulge
outward and their chops run wet and wild looking at color and pictures oppose to discerning a marketer’s gig. Come and
let us reason and educate the marketer that healthy food is tasty, fun, and comforting.
Travel the middle road
Dire circumstances that await the elderly and
disabled, among other vulnerable populations paid the luxury habit for decades. The population is over-burden to support extravaganza
exceeding the living wages, and for those who lost traveling on the middle road is both humbling and character strengthening.
The Savage Mind eats, wears, and entertains at
a animal's expense.
Are you really interested in preserving life? Cease eating
meat supporting live-stock, pigs, and chicken farms. Furthermore, cease entertainment from animals like Sea World where magnificent
animals are subjected to tanks. Bull-fighting is the top on my list of forbidden entertainment and wearing fur is an abomination.
China and Japan are culprits in using oceanic animals for delicacy similar to the west eating veal. Religion supports the
idea that humans have domination and can lord over the animal. I disagree with the violent teaching of the Christian Old Testament,
Torah, and Koran. The sun shines and the moon glow on all life.
Faith. Physics, and Mathematics.
The resurrection of Christ is based on faith not by the
laws of physics. The laws of physics are mathematical laws and cannot be argued by faith. The resurrection is an ancient mystery
but every aspect of the universe is based on mathematics. As the laws of physics are mathematical, they must be consistent.
The laws of physics are laws of mathematics. It is pointless to argue if the resurrection occurred faith based.
The action of love
The action of love breaks the barrier of
cultures steeped in thought and understands diversity not a church. Meditation on the Ego is the spring-board that dissipates
boundaries imposed by self and society not killing the Ego. The action of the insight is the perception that unveils ignorance
and makes room for consciousness to grow and mature. And that action of insight, awareness, and reality is Love.
Future for kids
Don't worry, the sun shines brightly on the one-quarter
of the remaining population when the boomers are gone. Boomers, inspire the young to re-capture the entrepreneurial and restore
the American spirit.
Money Driven Medicine
Health care benefit national interest and like
taxes government is obligated because privately money is the driving force. Unless we change this money driven machine, I
recommend health-care by government.
Bill failed
I agree wholeheartedly with Scott because the financial
system rebound to the pre-crisis from a generous bailout. Rebound was not by accident but by a concerted effort from government
to bail-out and protect. The bailout reaped benefits for banks but failed to protect the wreaking on the larger economy and
specific communities. Because the government turned a blind eye (profit before people) limiting the damages of foreclosures
and used the taxpayer the bank should gracefully shell out twenty-thousand dollars. It would be great to have a financial
system assist and share in the responsibility. In my opinion, paying twenty-thousand dollars is a very small appreciation;
a thank you, for the taxpayer's generosity in time of need.
Shopping Cart Saga
Mr. Marquez wrote compassionately and rightly so defending
the untouchables of our society. Stater Brothers resolved the issue by merely collecting the carts, thanking for the patronage,
and take the carts to the store. I am sure that the untouchables can be obnoxious, round up like cockroaches, behave like
morons, and be imbeciles; but they are part of us and we are part of them; so, please give them some slack. I am moved, inspired,
and truly loved every word Daniel had to write. This is a good day.
A response to, "Bring troops home."
America
is the only force to keep the Middle Eastern states in check. Anti-government protest has set in granite stone the future
face of the Middle East and altered the global chess board. America has no alternative but to be the ten-thousand pound gorilla
observing and protecting. China and Russia on the dragon’s tail are spectators of great esteem. Afghanistan and Iraqi
are fragile and with the unrest a target for an iron fist rule is most likely. America's presence has to remain constant to
mitigate world conflict and a third world war checkmate. The world has become small with so many states dressed in nuclear
armor. Extinction transcends the argument of terrorist, oil, reputation, inflation, unemployment, and government deficits.
Bankruptcy should not be a legal means to void public
employee contracts.
AB 506 Bill.
Are wages and benefits beneficial to the interest of society?
If so, we want our public safety employees and teachers decently compensated. After all, they have sacrificed and declaring
bankruptcy to void a contract is contrary to who we are as a community that depended on public safety and education. We are
aware that our economic woes will last a decade and lead to many bankrupt cities, but safety, and education cannot be negotiated.
As a consolation, the voter has control over compensation. If the voter doesn’t like what the legislature does, vote
them out. I am deeply saddened that a proposal of such nature is on the table.
Very few cities offer a distinct time travel -
San Bernardino, the beautiful.
Transportation is mandatory for growth and survival. The
expansion of the 215 saved San Bernardino from a collapse. San Bernardino is a bedroom community and the hope for a revitalization
requires restoring historical neighborhoods. Take a look and observe how time relates to each home, church, or business throughout
the city. It is so rich and awesome. Very few cities offer a distinct time travel. We have achieved our transport goal. I
suggest restoring historic neighborhoods and beautify in green. High rapid buses distort the harmony of the past, and the
project is simply too costly and unnecessary.

No higher taxes for the true grit
I oppose higher taxes because Californians are overtaxed, but mostly
psychologically overwhelmed, stressed, and depleted. If we want our financial house in-order we should oppose like the people
in November voted down a motor vehicle surcharge to fund state parks and made it harder for legislators to raise fees.
The
state has done well in budget cuts, which affected the most vulnerable and poor that another cut won't cause a dramatic change.
The damage is full-circled.
I agree with Mr. Runner that Governor Brown's proposal will not help California's private
sector economy, and neither create jobs nor be more competitive. The plan avoids issues, which need attention and a coward
approach to a long-term problem. It takes true grit to look closely, clearly, and courageously say, "No thank you. You have
to look at the problem and approach the budget differently that will not place another burden on my shoulder. I am over-taxed
and over-whelmed."
The internet and narcissistic traits.
On one hand, the on line relationship lacks the narcissistic craving
supply of flesh and blood. On the other, the internet is an excellent source because the narcissist is less convinced of his
or her superiority and infallibility.
Meditating on the subject, I disagree because the internet is a virtual reality
void of real and life people. Narcissist is like a vampire which needs flesh and blood to fulfill an insatiable appetite.
On line relationships lack the “narcissistic craving supply" like attention, admiration, adulation, approval, and affirmation.
And most importantly, how can the narcissist observe the awe and fear he or she inspires? The internet is too plastic and
mundane because the human eye invigorates the narcissist.
The internet is egalitarian and exerts a beneficial effect
on the staunchest and the most rigid... narcissist. The online narcissist mellows and hesitantly listens to others and
collaborates with them.
In short, a narcissist finds on line relationships plastic and mundane. The internet; however,
because it is virtual tend to reach the narcissist. He or she is less convinced of his or her own superiority and infallibility.
He or she reads, listen, and collaborate with others.
Panhandling is an economic and social disease.
Panhandling contributes to class division, poverty, and
degeneration. The act of begging fails to address unresolved economic and social issues. The panhandler option to seek work
or find a meaningful existence is substantially mitigated. The scene of begging hoping to score or feel frustrated when rejected
deepens the panhandler anxiety and angst. In short, it doesn't matter if the panhandler is meek or aggressive. Panhandling
like prostitution reflects the condition of society and should be treated as an economic and social disease.
A response to the principal's letter. Politicians
are aware and afraid.
I am convinced that politicians are aware of the forces
that drive economics forward. It is not lack of knowledge but an interest in the miracle of life. Greed has become a God and
an interest based on economic growth for the rich. To have more. The economy is to serve the people, but it seems that we
serve the economy. A good economy limits growth and fosters a development. How can we sustain such egocentric mentality placing
profit and objects before people? I find that to be true in reading the letter that depicts a young mind insignificant and
a substandard education justified by the scandalous rich who sit on the top of the pyramid. Unless we change the pyramid structure,
I observe a collapse because raising taxes and budget cuts to maintain the status quo are simply unsustainable.
Doomed
civilization is beyond supernatural wrath.
Meditating on wrath I am not convinced that humanity needs God’s wrath to end
our reckless game driven by an urge to destroy life, a culture based on economics opposed to morals, ethics, justice, or social
decisions of well-being. This doomed civilization is beyond a supernatural wrath. The only chance of survival is
a radical transformation of how we relate to our primary home, Earth. Most of its members are insane
hoping for relief from another world kicking and beating Earth to a pulp. Earth is our primary home regardless of geography
and privilege or residency. Religion offers justification to lord over the animal-kingdom, the natural world, and a
promise of an after-life. Everything is rationalized and justified presuming a savior, a prophet, or a God will liberate or
end. Earth and the miracle of life is everything and to think not is detrimental to our survival. Wrath is a desired
attribute among religious zealots living in an unsustainable insane civilization driven by a death urge.
Sins of Grand Terrace
Grand Terrace is known for capitalizing on redevelopment
funds on corporate welfare projects. I attend meetings were innocent folks beg and plead to the mayor and common council to
spare their castle-home. Economy used inappropriately has a tendency to circle to its fullness. The economy should serve the
people not the economy serving corporate greed. Let it be known, that the mayor and common council are on bent knees pleading
for resolution. A good start is redemption and acknowledge wrong economics and bleeding hearts to redevelopment-corporate
welfare or eminent domain for profit.
Breathe like a true grit warrior.
I applaud the citizens of Red lands defeating
a tax increase and the city employees refusing to negotiate. It is good for the city to learn to breathe like a true grit
warrior and mitigate the raging water-fall budget to a fine silvery stream.
Netanyahu's raging waterfall speech to the Arab spring.
The speech of Netanyahu was witnessed by the world. It has set the stage
for war. His speech secured the position of the Arabs, who agreed that war is inevitable. Victory is achieved through alienation;
even though, President Obama was courageous to challenge Netanyahu in accepting the two state solution and Israel’s
full withdrawal to the 1967 borders. Netanyahu rejected Obama's proposal and refused the right of return for refugees, no
to the division of Jerusalem, and no to a military presence. The speech clarified that the prime minister of Israel has no
attention of making peace with the Palestinians. The new Republican leadership of the House wanted to demonstrate, loudly
and clearly, that President Obama loses support, if he tries to achieve an Israeli-Palestinian agreement.
Netanyahu’s speech failed and regardless of Israel’s military
power the Arabs are adequately equipped and geared to travel back in time to 1947. Once the wheel is in motion, most likely
Israel will offer a power sharing nation. The possibility of sharing led by Israeli Jews and Arab Palestinians is plausible
if the existing borders, from the Jordan Valley to the Mediterrean Sea cease; but of course, it won’t happen. The danger
is that Israel’s outlook is totally detached from current political developments, particularly the changing power relations
both in the Middle East and around the world.
Nature is rich with opportunities.
Why
would the state terminate park and recreation in a time where job dissatisfaction and alienation escalate psychological symptoms
of strain?
Parks are essential to soften behavior and offers an opportunity
to think clearly. Imagine, sitting in the park looking at a country side carpeted with luscious grass and alongside countless
trees and flowers graced in splendor. Nature awakens inner landscapes and surrenders the gloom warding off pain. Imagine,
walking in the park to unwind on the elm-girt woodland path, a hawk dart by a rock close to a tulip stock. Imagine, listening
to murmur of rushing brooks, a joy, a passion not found in a thousand books. Nature pushes the intellect into greater depths,
a knowledge unknown to budget cuts.
Poverty sparks creativity.
I am in agreement to recruit people, but more so from
invisible communities, which are instrumental in tackling problems creatively. Most of us depict these folks as lazy and stupid.
A warm note, poverty is one paycheck short and creativity sparks when survival hangs at the edge. Invisible communities are
sections of the city least noticed. I strongly suggest to take a sip from this fountain of potential.
The Shariah Law dress

man powered by laws adverse to the woman's well-being. She is objectified and dehumanized, and laws apply to her anatomy
as her destiny. Come and let us reason. If a society demands a cover
from head to toe, then there is a destiny issue. According to Islam
her anatomy is determined as seductive and must be hidden to restrain the temptation of the man. The woman is capable of restrain
opposed to her male counterpart, which is weak. Because of his defect, she must shield herself behind a curtain to assist
him with his sexual impulses. The woman, therefore, must have a curtain,
a cloak, to hide her feminine jewels from his roving eye and restrain him from his lust. The man, however, is free to express
his anatomy, and he rightfully should do so. Mulling the Dress Code,
is it true that a man is weak and cannot control himself? Why is the woman capable and not a man? Why does she have to be
covered to restrain his impulses? The belief a man cannot control
impulses is an insult to his manhood and manhood of all men. To depict men weak in character and lack of ability to control
impulses are degrading to his sex and person. The man is confused because he does not understand why she has to be cloaked
to help him restrain. This is an insult for him and frustrating for the woman, isolating and alienating the possibility for
any dialogue in resolving this bizarre social arrangement. To dig
deeper, what is the real reason? Perhaps, the dress code is a manifested destiny which dictates how anatomy is identified,
controlled, and manipulated in a patriachal society. A good society should re-think the dress code and study the internal
conflict for both sexes and the violence of the Shariah Law.
Redevelopment is a government program that divides the whole
into three separate and unequal parts.
The letter reflects a mayoral opinion opposed to the fact. The abolishment of redevelopment agencies
are often confused with the natural economic processes of free trade, large scale private investment, phases in economic cycles,
or prosperity. The abolishment proposed by Governor Brown are projects set aside for corporate welfare. The two are bi-polar
in nature. The proposal by the governor is a redevelopment by government. The word, “redevelopment” has been astutely
painted on canvas as a portrait of serving the greater good However, is the greater good forcing policies on the marketplace
and involuntary transfer of property from one private party to another party within their own jurisdiction? To do this without
bloodshed it needs a bureaucrat. Can you imagine, a private citizen taking property? I am sure prison is assigned. To implement
the task government interferes and uses public money (taxes)and eminent domain (superior ownership or dominion) and gains
favor from the programs’ beneficiaries.
Redevelopment has effectively decreased the nation's total lower
income housing stock; stifled commerce, diverted billions of dollars every year from legitimate local services: schools, police,
fire, disaster preparedness, street, sidewalks, sewers, traffic control, parks, libraries, parks, museums, flood control,
public records, health general welfare to the population. Without increasing revenues from other sources to compensate the
loss. Furthermore, by federal mandate, operate in a state of perpetual debt.
The cost of private citizens is higher,
but harder to calculate. There are communities, and society as a whole; days of hope and happiness crushed that come from
belonging to a place called home. Loss of liberty bulldozed that comes from crushing violations to rights everyone else takes
for granted. However, an even higher price to pay for redevelopment, one that can't be measured in dollars or days or
degrees of dispossession: the long term cost of a program that permanently divides the American people into three separate
and unequal classes:
1. THOSE WHO HAVE MORE RIGHTS THAN EVERYONE ELSE. 2. THOSE WHO HAVE FEWER. 3. EVERYONE
ELSE.
Redevelopment is destructive because it is based on flawed ideas of socialism. Here is why.
1.
Ordinary people do not know what is good for them. 2. The Rights guaranteed to us by the US Constitution come from Government. 3. Material well being is the highest Good. 4 The End Justifies the Means. 5. Government is the Salvation of Mankind.
The proponents of Redevelopment are the League of Cities, Conference of Mayors, Urban Land Institute, and California
Redevelopment Association. Government redevelopment is humanitarian efforts in vain pursuit and harbor glamorous delusions.
An alternative strategy to mitigate prison rolls.
The prison problem can be resolved by acknowledging that most crimes are drugged related. We fail to address
that the war on drugs is not a war but big business reaping huge profits an employment for many. Drugs are a money making
machine, and if we address the nature of drugs from users to dealers to law enforcement to lawyers to, judges, to prisons
dependency ranks for each. I find this true in a bloated economy; however, in a stressed economy the strategy is to thin out.
Firstly, unload the inmates and have educators, psychologist, psychiatrist, re-habilitation houses, and
churches deal with drug offenders. House the death row inmates because the system has inherent flaws.
Secondly, if the inmate is illegal sent him or her home at a risk of return because creating borders harm.
Lastly, we need to re-think and focus on the real issue of treating the disease free from handcuffs, jails,
and prisons. The justification for imprisonment has not mesh. We fail to rehabilitate and deter future criminals. We exercise
retribution and incapacitate but yet the prison population explodes. Economically, it is no longer feasible to view drugs
as big business, at the expense of the offender. And morally we can dig deeper into the cause and find a wave of relief.
The political boxing ring of San Bernardino.
Mayor Morris 's credibility
is pounded harshly in the political boxing ring, and often by a hard fist to sport and boost a fragile ego. Mayor Morris courageously
deals with the blows. His administration juggles grumbling citizens, woes of the economy, and sadly observes a declining life
force of their beloved chief.
The values and beliefs clash with your constituents, Mayor Vargas.
Mayor Grace Vargas does not represent beliefs
and values of the people in Rialto. People of Rialto are not interested in supporting Corporate Welfare. I am confident they
would think twice to re-elect. Redevelopment has two sides: Government and Natural. The latter is initiated by the people
and natural process. The only reform that is valid is abolishment. Abolish the interference by Government. Government has
no business in buying blight homes nor employ Eminent Domain to serve corporate welfare. Any redevelopment reform proposed
by the California Redevelopment Association has to be bogus. Recall that the California Redevelopment Association's last
Eminent Domain reform initiative did essentially nothing to stop eminent domain abuse. The California Redevelopment Association
is all about protecting this form of Corporate Welfare. California Redevelopment Association supports policies that undermine
property rights. Its reforms always are designed to convince the public that reform has taken place while keeping the status
quo in place. I apologize for Mayor Vargas because her beliefs and values need a morality tune-up.
Drive down the retirement age and have the
young drive the economy.
Come and let us be mindful and observe the whole. Drive down the retirement age
to fifty-five and have the young drive the economy. The over-stated and over-rated budget saga can be easily solved if we
reduce the retirement age and increase benefits so the boomers can live modestly on Social Security. Our current economic
model seems to rob opportunities from high school and college graduates. Boomers are forced to work in a stagnate climate
while others are scrambling for jobs. It is morally correct to make room in the labor market and flip the current dynamic
of many people chasing few jobs' upside down, and create a tight labor market. I am not an economist but common sense
notes that tight labor markets drive up wages and wages add to tax revenue. Additionally, these new-into-the-workforce people
can then pay off student loans, buy new houses and cars, and otherwise drive the economy from the bottom up. The increase
tax revenues strengthen the Social Security system. The idea of early retirement seems inconceivable for those who believe
that Social Security will go bankrupt. To the contrary, a good chunk of the workforce unemployment will be substantially mitigated
if we provide space. This dramatically stimulates the economy, brings cheer to the boomer, and relief to the young. Then we
can begin to bring our manufacturing jobs back home from China and the other important steps to restore the strength and integrity
we once had.
Bandwagon Mentality
I
sadly read the comments pertaining to the hopefuls for city council. The comments reflected a bandwagon mentality. In the
political world, the bandwagon effect can be very dangerous because it fails to see flaws of the candidate. The bandwagon
effect can be seen at almost all levels of human interaction. Good decisions are based on beliefs and values rather than the
temptation to go along with a group. It is for this the voter must not go along with what others do or think. People jump
as more and more voters express support for a particular candidate. Once the bandwagon gets rolling, it can be hard to undo
the damage that has been done. Think independently on issues and carefully study each candidate.
Roll back pension to the sane years.
I suggest
to roll back the pension where the average pension for government workers in the state was twenty-nine-thousand. The pension
blow-out began eleven years ago when elected officials lost their minds and boosted benefits to the moon and stars. In a five
year comparison of public distributions from 2006-2010, the number of retirees increased by seventeen percent, while the number
receiving pensions of $100,000 and above increased by more than two-hundred- and- thirty percent.
The above can
be easily contrasted to the rise and fall of the Real Estate Empire. Roll back public pension benefits and adjust the distribution
to the fall of the housing market. And those pensions that increased two-hundred twenty three percent should be rolled back
to seventeen percent. It is inconceivable that we can maintain this economical insanity
Saudi women twist and turn around
a flawed law on June 17, 2011
I applaud the Saudi woman for her courage and bravery. I know she will
do well. A lady who can gallop a camel in a scorched desert wrapped can easily step the pedal to the metal. Not only Americans
wish you well but the world. Ladies, drive the men crazy. If I was a moral police officer I would call in sick.
The Arab spring in Saudi.
Congratulations to the women who dare to defy the kingdom, and rightfully so. The Royal Family is masters over twenty-five
million people. It is about time the Arab spring flows to Saudi Arabia and baptize the people with democracy. The world is
watching and support the defiance of a natural right to drive. If a lady can gallop a camel, she is astute to pedal the medal.
Keep turning and twisting the wheel of power.
John Longville and government workers'
pensions.
"If you compare public safety pensions to Wall Street bankers' pensions, they are very
reasonable. If you compare them to the incomes of the people of San Bernardino - especially here in the 2nd Ward - they appear
excessive." Longville said. Deanna's rebuttal. The analogy of Wall Street bankers and California government
workers are like two opposite poles in nature. A realistic approach is examining the time-line before and after the government
workers' pension blowout. The pension blow-out began eleven years ago when elected officials lost their minds and boosted
benefits to the moon and stars. The average pension for government workers in the state was twenty-nine thousand. In a five
year comparison of public distributions from 2006-2010, the number of retirees increased by seventeen percent, while the number
receiving pensions of $100,000 and above increased by more than two-hundred- and- thirty percent. The above can be easily
contrasted to the rise and fall of the housing market. Roll back public pension benefits and adjust the distribution comparable
to 1999. And those pensions that increased two-hundred twenty three percent should be rolled back to seventeen percent. It
is inconceivable that we can maintain this economical insanity.
Jerry Martin and Revitalization
"Pasadena is a good example. Downtown renewal isn't easy and there are no quick fixes. It will require commitment,
long-term vision and sensible expectations." Martin said. Deanna's response. San Bernardino has gorgeous
homes, churches, and building. Pasadena used their energy by being mindful of each historical depicting an era. Lots of homes
are from the roaring-twenties and observing the architect it has a certain style of inquisitive beauty. Every historical has
a story of happiness and tears. (roaring twentiies - world war 11 - post world war 11) A good paint brush is a start to breathe
new life. The senior citizens' dwellings fit well in the historic age. However, please no more. The modern look of conformity
works with the senior citizen complexes because seniors need the attachment. Without history the plan will be mediocrity because
the past is for the young and old.
John Longville and jobs
The number one problem in
the second ward is unemployment, and nothing else is close," said Longville. The greatest asset government possesses,
far richer than water, is to drive the economy at its worst. There is a little impact in the second ward relating to unemployment
because of the comfort zone sustaining a breath above poverty. The employment issue is bleak. Raising the quality of life
is feasible because creativity is natural for those who juggle copper coins.
Robert Jenkins and Code Enforcement.
"I support expanding our city's successful use of administrative civil penalties to force out-of-town
landlords to clean up blighted properties and provide additional revenues for the city," said Jenkins. A rebuttal
from Deanna. To think the economy will improve is wishing for the peacock to strut gold dust and shake it off his feathers.
The housing market is where it should be and painfully readjusted to the global market. Please, do not foresee an improvement
shortly. Perhaps, a decade the housing market will shift a bit. The city would do well to court the out-of-town landlords
and offer incentives for them to stay. To boast of force and outrageous administrative fees is an incorrect assessment. The
goal of San Bernardino is fewer vacant buildings and pride in investor ownership. The city's policy of pounding flesh
is creating more blight in neighborhoods and money leaving the area.
Truth and Consequences
The unique historic
character of Red lands embellishes memories of our past. The simplicity of mom and pop stores, chatting on the patio sipping
a cold lemonade, strolling from a store to store to shop is swept up by Leviathan eaten and spit out. The big box store destroys
the innocence of a city, and softness is replaced by concrete walls and merchandise lined-up in rows and sections. The land
grabs of Wal-Mart and a road to their front door will leaven pre-existing malls businesses gasp for air when the super center
empties and boasts a vacancy rate of up to thirty percent. The bosses of Wal-Mart strut like peacocks and shake their feathers
of gold dust but relying on proffers from developers is at an expense of a loss of higher paying jobs and decreased revenue
because the jobs that Wal-Mart’s going to bring are going to b...e replacing better-jobs that we’ve already had. The money our business generates sits in our bank, and is recycled. It buys our homes, our cars. It finances education,
and it serves our businesses. The group from Red lands is wise to resist this sterile stiff big box and starving sharks from
pirating local revenue and resources from the people and convince that a one stop shop is the best. One stop is dull and docile
swaging in and out of isles opposed to meeting small shop owners feeling the human touch. Wall-Mart is simply too plastic
for me, an artificial environment of robotic nature. Wal-Mart desensitizes and the one-stop desensitizes the human spirit.
Closing the mind
The closing
of libraries is like closing the mind of society. It is a step in the wrong direction to stretch the gap between the rich
and poor and kick the middle class to the curb. The time is ripe for the rich to bail out the economical stresses and restore.
To start, plug loopholes and implement a progressive tax for corporations and the wealthy, abolish redevelopment agencies
or corporate welfare, and reduce the retirement age to fifty-five. The young should drive the economy not the economy driving
people off the cliff, closing libraries, mitigate health care, and reduce public service.
Treatment of Animals
The treatment
of animals reflects the character of society. Animals like people are disposable and treated cruel if the glove does not fit
the hand. The county is used to justify for society's misdeeds. It is not the county but people who are barbaric abandoning
their loved ones. Love is like a circle of life and does not end when the puppy is grown and cuteness and youth disappear.
Humanitarian effort in good pursuit
Mr.
Sayen humanitarian effort is in good pursuit for those who have a pre-existing condition and are not considered profitable.
Health care is profit driven and harmful and shameful in a developed state. The affordable health care act is a blessing and
a good model to consider that health care is a right not a privilege. Sickness is unproductive to the state, society, and
self.
The argument of age and two candidates.
I disagree with Mr. Moore. Age is a flawed argument because both men have road-maps marked with deep creases
and lines twisting and turning angles like crooked roads highlighting hair of silvery glow. Mr.Moor's opinion of
a decency void of evidence is blank like a sheet of a white paper. Anyone can paint a portrait of a dark river. I like to
hear from the candidate and get acquainted with beliefs, values, and issues. Retirement for a baby-boomer is a revolutionary
word and like the sixties they have changed little from their quaker and shaker attitude. Boomers don't retire but aspire
to deepen in consciousness and insightfully travel in a parallel universe.
The middle path
The Sun summed
the first characteristic of Jerry Martin, a second ward candidate hopeful. Jerry's silvery stream personality is free
from fixation and stubbornness. He is open and aware that he does not possess all the answers but is eager to hear responsible
critiques and to work with it. Most politicians or hopefuls believe that they are larger than life. The first obligation of
a leader is the Socratic injunction, "Know thyself." This is very difficult and effective leadership comes from
an inner core of integrity of standing alone but yet not alone. Jerry Martin is the proven candidate for the second ward.
I look forward to having a man who walks the middle-path to the dias.
Fairness and Justice
The defeat
of the measure is the combination of individual perceptual and cognitive distortions of a dysfunctional system. The people
and government are alienated from fairness and respect. For most, any tax is a bad tax because to justify fairness government
must be free of the political and economical defect. Raising taxes is a politician resolution to a stalemate economy and a
belief that people are lethargic. This of course, is an error because the measure for a tax increase is a power grab for money.
It lacked the principle of fairness and justice for all.
Taking a look at foreign policy and democratic compatibility
is far more significant than harboring an illusion.
The Middle East question equates obedience to
the United States. As long as the Middle East is obedient it will be considered a stable ally. Defiance stirs US media headlines
of nuclear threat, jihad movements, and the Taliban. The Arab spring is a fine opportunity and a challenge for the US
to alter foreign policy. The American people believe that the US wants democracy in the Middle East. This of course, is far
from the truth because democracy is having people govern, and most likely the Arabs will throw the Americans out. We've
heard the term stabilize the region from the US government. Whenever the term is used it actually means that the US will destabilize the region but stabilize any threat to its interest.
If the US is truly sincere in democracy than foreign policies must equate with action. History is evident that the Arab world
has been democratic. The issue with compatibility is that when dictators take control the west looks the other way. Thus,
the Arab world is aware that the west has no interest in democracy, and western democracies are terrified of democracy in
the Middle East. The noble face of democracy is falsely propagated and the Arabs are totally aware of the masquerade.
The US, however, can remove the veil and lead democracy by supporting protestors and rebuke governments that are incompatible
with democracy. Nobility is the action to be just in policy and action. If the Arab world deemed to be un-equally yoked it
would be to our interest to vacate the Middle East in its entirety so that the people can institute change, or we can change
the tide and support the removal of kingdoms, sheikdoms, and dictators, including Saudi Arabia.
The making of Hitler
The writer, Mr. Vandertouw, created a scapegoat for
the city’s economic and social woes: un-educated, non-desiring elements, sub-culture, hordes on the dole. These people
are citizens and consumers who support local businesses and contribute to the sales-tax rolls. Even misfits need food, clothing,
and housing. Over a decade, the city has invested in senior housing. These stately mini-mansions are decorated well and perfectly
landscaped with ornate rocks nestled adorning flowing water-fountains. The city astutely envisioned a lucrative housing market
for future retirees. The baby-boomers will be the next hordes on the dole. The city wants money from the social security doles,
a flow of guaranteed income. The economy is a national problem and like San Bernardino, the middle class trickled down
over the years. This raging waterfall progressed to a tsunami to the ranks of the hordes and one paycheck short of being homeless.
To hold the hordes responsible a sub-culture and hero must be appointed to stamp out the disease. It sounds familiar like
Nazi-Germany. Hitler was Germany’s hero who sold a false perception. The making of Hitler was the Jews. Germany needed
a hero to root out the evil, the scapegoat, the sub-culture. I observe these economic woes natural like the boom and
bust housing market. Poverty is not having enough money, and it takes creativity to tailor a copper budget. I take the Zen
approach and let the chips fall.
A plea for public support by San Bernardino County Supervisor,
Josie Gonzales. Madam Chair.
I don't buy the Board of Supervisor's call of political cultural
change. Come and let us reason and discern the truth from falsehood. The chairman’s letter is a plea for public
support. Why is the board anxious whose paychecks have ballooned by eighty-four percent over the past decade? Traveling back
in time to 2006, voters approved Measure P, an initiative promoted for limiting county supervisors to three terms. Short sighted
and greed the passing added an impact of increasing their salaries by twenty-two percent the first year and by more than fifty-three
percent by 2009. The chair receives seven and one –half percent more. As you can see, the term limits help line their
own pockets, and now the chairman’s plea is asking employees to mitigate their standard of living. The new political
culture is to travel back in time to... 2004 and work with a modest budget of $3.3 million and salary and benefits. Let’s
take a look at their benefits. In 2007, county supervisors contributed to their budget’s growth by quietly voting to
pad their benefit's packages. Their board retirement benefits shot up from $7,514 to $16,640 annually. That’s
on top of $13,000 to $28,210 per annum in health benefits, with no contribution necessary. In May supervisors rolled
back those perks effective at the start of their next terms, reducing their retirement contributions back to $7,514 and trimming
their health benefits to many exempt county employees at a maximum county contribution of $11,838 per annum. Supervisors
still get an additional $2,400 cell phone allowance and $14,200 vehicle allowance, or a county vehicle. As neighboring
counties lowered supervisor salaries this past year, San Bernardino County’s supervisors salaries dropped nearly $2,000
to $150,183. I am convinced that the Board of Supervisors are over-weight and need to thin out and roll back to 2004 before
asking others to take a drastic reduction. Roll back to 2004 and perhaps they can win favor and ask the public for support.
The letter spurred my attention to dig deeper and found that part of the solution is to thin out, and the diet begins first
with the supervisors than the employees.
Un-load and Thin-out.
In a stressed economy,
the strategy is to un-load and thin-out. The prison problem can be resolved by acknowledging that most crimes are drugged
related. We fail to address that the war on drugs is not a war but big business reaping huge profits an employment for many.
Drugs are a money-making machine, and if we address the nature of drugs from users to dealers to law enforcement to lawyers
to, judges, to prisons dependency ranks for each. I find this true in a bloated economy; however, in a stressed economy the
strategy is to thin out. Unload the inmates and have educators, psychologist, psychiatrist, re-habilitation houses, and churches
deal with drug offenders. The justification for imprisonment has not mesh. We fail to rehabilitate and deter future criminals.
We exercise retribution and incapacitate but yet the prison popul...ation explodes. Economically, it is no longer feasible
to view drugs as big business, at the expense of the offender. And morally we can dig deeper into the cause and find a wave
of relief. Redevelopment is a thorn because it has effectively decreased the nation's total lower income housing
stock; stifled commerce, diverted billions of dollars every year from legitimate local services: schools, police, fire, disaster
preparedness, street, sidewalks, sewers, traffic control, parks, libraries, parks, museums, flood control, public records,
health general welfare to the population. Without increasing revenues from other sources to compensate the loss. Governor
Brown insight to thin out is liberating for the state’s well being; however, California can prevent social cuts if Sacramento
revises tax breaks and loopholes for corporations. Corporations are like royalty and socialize as dignitaries in foreign countries
to claim that their revenue was generated in another country. Prideful and proud the pseudo princes and princesses prance
and parade like peacocks daring us to ruffle their fine finesse feathers. We are afraid. If we propose a progressive tax they
simply will pack up and leave. Let them. Set the rules and have these Royals pay their fair share and reject their corporate
and millionaire welfare status. We can't afford their luxury. These royal families use our schools, police, and roads
almost free.
Cease desire to rule and share with content.
Most minds are savage lusting for pleasure lusting for the suffering of those who are completely under one's
domination, and unable to fight back. Charting the progress of animal-welfare the world is too slow in making progress to
eluviate suffering. Three main religions are the culprit in animal domination. Clearly noted in the Jewish Torah, Christian
Old Testament, and Muslim Koran that humans are to rule. I take the view of the Buddha, "cease desire to rule and share
with content." This is a good day that Kele Younger shared her sacred story. Humanity has a long way to go before it
becomes civilized.
A rebuttal: The professor is targeting low-economic neighborhoods
and fail to address a social disease free from boundaries.
I disagree that an alcohol outlet cause property
or violent crimes, and there is no study that shows a causal relationship between the two. Evidence is found; however, that
alcohol outlet density is related to crime. It remains inconclusive as to whether alcohol outlets themselves cause crimes,
result in a displacement of crime from surrounding areas, or whether they tend to be located in areas that inherently have
higher crime rates. Closing an alcohol outlet moves the traffic to another location because crimes are relatively mobile.
Toxic craving can be easily substituted with drugs, and if the alcoholic is desperate he or she will walk to a nearby
outlet. One of the problems is the image of the alcohol outlet. In low-income neighborhoods,
the store sells more single serving bottles of fortified wine in contrast in an upscale neighborhood expensive bottles of
red wine. The store in a disadvantaged neighborhood is poorly maintained most likely with iron bars across window panes. The
upscale neighborhood has usually a nice and clean store front. Society provides services for both to satisfy a craving and
prisons are loaded with addicts. It is this social disease that has to be addressed. I am sure that if an alcohol outlet in
a disadvantage neighborhood is nice and clean free from iron bars across widow panes the profile depicted by the professor
would alter substantially. Code-enforcement can be used to brush up good maintenance skills and a coat of paint can make it
pristine, and friendlier service could mitigate the hardship of the addict. If restrictions are to be enforced on alcohol
outlets the rule must apply to specialty wine stores, grocery stores, and supermarkets. I don't think that would work
because of the revenue a city receives from the sale of alcohol. Education is the primary tool for the alcohol outlet owner
and information of available treatment centers to help the addict are to be posted. Any alcohol outlet must be held accountable
for this social disease that disadvantage and up-scale neighborhoods share. I propose a sign at each alcohol outlet, "Alcohol
is dangerous to your health. You can end up in prison, insane, or dead. Think before you drink."
The greatest enemy is the, "self." A reply
to, "war we ignore."
The art of Enlightenment requires your effort to be your own teacher questioning
social, political, and religious boundaries, which control your psychological condition. This is the only true value of a
human being which can be found in attaining liberation from the Self. If we only permit nature to unfold herself, we
can attain true happiness and mitigate our conflict with others. It is the interference of Nature that creates disturbance
of the mind. Surely, if we recognize, we are a creation of the Cosmos all the Gods invented by Man will celebrate their
last Dance. Surely, if we recognize, we are created from a Star, and the Cosmos is our natural habitat the Collective
Consciousness of Man has space to evolve. Only than the human race is fitted to live on this Earth and has earned redemption
to plea for a second chance. The genesis of wisdom is to doubt and perseve. The mind at times is like a raging waterfall
opposed to a fine silvery stream. Only through the action of the insight you can follow the stream and having perception in
its course it will go its own way meandering here, trickling there. You must be soft in practice because the stream will find
the way. It will find the grooves, the cracks, and take you to your destination.
My vote for, "America's
got Talent" is Steven. What a beautiful
dance by this gorgeous, masculine, and athletic male on the pole. It could not be helped but to replay his video.
Each time his ballet movement joyfully interprets the song, "I'm going to marry tonight." He looked like a groom
thinking of his wedding bed sprinkled with pink-purple-peach-periwinkle petals on soft-sheer-satin-silky sheets.
Steven is more than a million-dollar act. He is Divine.
The 405 Carmaggadon Saga
I was
pleasantly surprised that people did well taking a break and garaged. People had a chance to contemplate, chat with neighbors,
or nestled reading or writing. On a warm note, the reason that people are quiet about every citizen's right to a
free quality college education is that our lives are congested like a freeway not leaving space to think. We work longer hours
for less and fall short at the end. Departing from the freeway and freeway mentality is not so bad, after all.
A rebuttal: Obama is a Republican
Don't be fooled: President Obama is the classic example of the two wing ideology. I am not convinced that
Republicans differ much from the Democrats. The media does well to frame two vastly different political ideologies, but looking
closely I find that the Republicans and Democrats are consistent across partisan lines and appear more as two wings of the
same ideology. The only folks that can save this country are the rich, but since a bailout from the aristocrat is an illusion
the people must go forward and turn the tide. Don't depend on the Democrats or Republicans but on grass-roots.
The Gang of Six.
America is
run by gangsters who loot the treasure pushing countless families into slavery. In the proposal by the gang, the word "modification"
was used. The word, "modification" is building a police state one brick at a time. Million of seniors who believed
in the social security system are shocked. Imagine, beneficiaries who are in the 70's instead of a living wage increase
the wage is cut of close to three percent. If the beneficiaries are lucky at the age of eighty the check is cut to six percent.
And if the beneficiaries are in their 90's, they will look forward to a nine-percent cut. Further, the gangsters'
proposal is a death sentence for the middle class. The gangsters used our money to resurrect Mr. Bernanke, who lifted sixteen
trillion dollars for cronies in foreign banks. An ideology of a security threat to America was at the root of both terror
who caused a huge military budget strangling the economy. The military is half of the budget deficit, but the proposal is
to cut 0.1 percent of spending over the next decade. The proposal is perfect for a revolution. The rich benefit from the proposal
and we suffer substantial cuts, which are likely to cut into the incomes of large segments of the population, especially the
sick and elderly. I look forward to a revolution and prefer to die fighting than to die at the hand of a dead democracy.
Homelessness
The county has a daunting task of resolving homelessness. The solution to mitigate the burden is faith based non-profit
organizations. Support faith-based and have government retreat from resolving homelessness.

Replace occupation with Navy
I am in agreement that investing in the
Navy is far more prudent than having American forces in one-hundred and twenty-countries. One-half of our national debt in
the tune of seven trillion is spent on foreign occupation or flexing muscle. Retreat and let the Navy float the water employing
the seventy-eight-and-ninety rule. The change in strategy would make the world a safer place.
The plight of an Imam.
I read the Imam's letter and question if his intelligence can
go beyond the limitations of beliefs. To be a theist or an atheist, to me, are both absurd. If you knew what truth is, what
God is, you would neither be a theist nor an atheist, because in that awareness, belief is unnecessary. It is the man or woman
who is not aware, who only hopes and supposes, who looks to a belief or to disbelief to support and act in a particular
way. If we approach it quite differently, we will find out for ourselves, as individuals, something real that is beyond
all the limitations of beliefs, beyond the illusion of words. However, that - the discovery of Truth, or God - demands great
insight, which is not an assertion of belief or disbelief, but the recognition of explored assumptions that govern. So,
to discover God or truth - and I say such a thing does exist, I have realized that belief is based on self-protection and
the need for security. The mind needs psychological security but fails to question if the security is false or true. Reality
is not conforming but emptying the mind of all the things that the mind has put together including the contents of sacred
books and teachings from authorities. Once we journey this pathless path, we find that there is wisdom in psychological in-security.
The Inman must transform beyond the limitations of belief for freedom and justice to flow
\ A phony
construction of starving the beast to appease the rich and corporations.
Tax the rich and the money sucking
corporations. America’s low effective corporate tax rates have left big-business swimming in cash while the country
goes bust. A great idea for taxing the rich is a wealth tax of one or two percent of their worth plus income tax. We’re
not talking to upper-middle class here: the poorest among them is worth a mere $8.3 million. This top one percent owns 35
percent of all wealth in the United States. The $15 deduction from the poorest of the poor is, "starving the beast,"
an ideology of an "phony construction," for politicians to appease the rich and corporations.
The Debt Ceiling Sage of August 02, 2011
Editor, raising the debt ceiling is a mediocre approach of balancing the budget. Not passing would have forced political
brains to work effectively. The debt-ceiling deal was nurtured in a hothouse of ideology and blossomed in a storm by
cutting $900 billion over 10 years. The passing will never balance the budget. Instead, it will add untold trillions to dollars
to our deficit. Meditating on this issue I question how government can feed mouths with our jobs overseas, excessive military
spending, privatization of health cost, and money sucking corporations. How? Our population of 318,676,00 will grow by 92,000,00
in 2031 and 200,000,00 by 2051. If debt seems to be the problem why would we want to increase the national debt? A blank check
plus the Federal Reserve resumes the press of printing toxic money. ...And
during the hothouse debate and under cover of this debt ceiling circus, the Federal Reserve secretly pumped six-teen trillion
into American and foreign banks over three years. All the Federal Reserve’s cronies are pleasantly plump while Americans
are scrambling having to raise the debt ceiling 2.1 trillion. The world is watching. Imagine what Putnam of Russia is
thinking, "printing more monopoly money. Soon, the Empire will collapse. It is impossible to muscle the world and feed
the home front on a bare bone." Editor, this is my view. The world would have respected America if the House and Senate
denied the debt ceiling and took a road less traveled
A few added points to the editor's point of
view of the Norway massacre.
Firstly, the United States compared to Norway is short three hundred million
in population and three hundred million in square miles. In addition, since our nation's birth, our faces landscaped brown,
white, black, and yellow. Norway's immigration until the eighties was a standstill, and didn't have to deal with exotic
cultures. Of course, this does not render justification of the massacre but an insight to call for acceptance of an extreme
view. Let extremist people be heard in order to prevent ticking time bombs under the radar. Secondly, the editor’s
view of Breivik being mentally unbalanced is telling what he did and then sticking a superfluous word, “crazy”
on it. People who are insane do not have an ideological agenda. Crazy people don’t commit wanton massacres. They gibber,
scream, hear voices, and do all kinds of weird stuff, but practically none of them plan and carry out massacres. I think,
for most a strong temptation is to say that anyone who’d do something so outrageously horrible must be crazy. Lastly,
I do agree; however, that Breivik is an anti-social psychopathic because he doesn’t feel normal human empathy and emotion.
He murdered children, women, and undefended innocent people. The extremist had an ideological agenda and choose violence to
be heard. Non-violence is the only effective tool, but that takes patience, restraint, and compassion.
The S & P Notch
The editor’s
view is short-sighted. The notch from S & P is least from our worries. What is the difference between a triple and a double
but a mediocre notch. What is on the horizon is a slow death of the dollar known as the world reserve currency. The dollar
forms the basis of the world financial system. It is what banks around the world hold in reserve against their loans. We have
the unique ability to print money, and legally print more money. The dollar known to be world’s reserve currency will
share the basket with other currencies. It is the new currency basket that we should worry about not the S & P. We have
used the privilege of printing money as a weapon when we consume without worrying acquiring the money to pay for it. We have
gone too far to maintain the status quo. It is not sustainable to print money to pay bad debts
in a rapidly changing world. In short, when countries no longer have to buy the dollar to import, I observe a collapse in
our national monetary system, and our normal way of life. For example, from the basket the Germans can pay in German Marcs
or European currency to Saudi Arabia for oil. Germany is free from buying dollars to purchase oil from Saudi. Furthermore,
with this change every country must produce at least as much as they consume from around the world. Otherwise the value of
its currency will begin to fall, causing prices to rise and its standard of living to decline. Sharing the basket of currency's
forces every country to be responsible to produce at least as much as they consume. America, the country I love is no longer
the exception. We must produce at least as much as we consume.
SPECIAL ELECTION V.S. SPECIAL APPOINTMENT.
I disagree with the editor's point of
view. People should be the center not the market place of saving cost. Open process honors the living not the dead and to
justify is inappropriate. The greatest asset of government is confidence and having a special election honors democracy, accountability,
and transparency. Let the people vote and choose the mayoral seat. The mayoral seat must be won on confidence not
because people feel sorry and are obliged.
THE NATURE OF AN OLIGARCHY. Representative Joe Baca dishonored his political
office and dishonored his oath. He swore in a mayor without voter's representation. As a politician he represented the
power structure of oligarchy and discredited democracy. The oligarchy grabbed center stage and justified INTERVENTION because
a penniless city must be ruled. It lost capacity to lead. This strategy is use...d by an oligarchy that in a crisis, the mass is unfit
to lead. This is a sad day not only for Colton but for America. San Bernardino did well when the voters choose replacement
for the second ward. Three candidates ran for the position and Mr. Jenkins won. The people spoke regardless of social and
financial disparity.
BEYOND THE DEMOCRAT AND REPUBLICAN IS THE DECLARATON OF INDEPENDENCE - THE PEOPLE'S
MOJO. I disagree with the political science professor and former Fulbright Fellow at the University of Hong
Kong. It is absurd to perceive patriotism by sacrificing your life for this country in our military. Everything about
war violates the fundamental principles of equality, life, liberty, the pursuit of happine...ss, not just for us, but for people in another part of the world. For example, the highest act of
patriotism is opposing the war in Iraq and calling for a withdrawal of troops from Iraq and other nations. Government policies
have taken trillions of dollars from this country’s treasury and used it for war and militarism. Patriotism to me requires
to be active on many, many different fronts to oppose government and instead fund infrastructure, education , technology,
manufacturing, and defense. Half of the national debt is spent on wars and militarism. Sound military defense does not need
seven trillion dollars and more importantly violates the principles of the Declaration of Independence. Who is interested
in paying for fruitless wars and conflict hashing ideologies if our infrastructure is crumbling, and bankrupt? Government
is set up by the people in order to fulfill certain responsibilities: equality, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness. People
become enthusiastic if their taxes pay for good infrastructure, schools, health care, public safety, technology, manufacturing,
and sound defense. However, this is not the case. To sum up, according to the Declaration of Independence, when the government
violates those responsibilities, then, and these are the words of the declaration it is the right of the people to alter or
abolish the government. In other words, the government is not holy; the government is not to be obeyed when the government
is wrong. So to me patriotism in its best sense means thinking about the people in the country, the principles for which the
country stands for, and it requires opposing the government when the government violates those principles.
SOFT PEDDLING THE WILD RIDE OF WALL STREET. Editor Pine's
view of a wild ride is soft peddling the response from the world on Wall Street. The notch from S & P is insignificant
in relation to our debt. What is the difference between a triple and a double? What is on the horizon is a slow death of the
dollar known as the world reserve currency. The dollar forms the basis of the world financial system. It is what banks around
the world hold ...in reserve against their loans. We
have the unique ability to print money, and legally print more money. The dollar known to be world’s reserve currency
will have no further alternative but to share the basket with other currencies. It is the new currency basket that we should
worry about not the S & P. We have used the privilege of printing money as a weapon when we consume without worrying acquiring
the money to pay for it. We have gone too far to maintain the status quo. It is not sustainable to print toxic money to pay
bad debts in a rapidly changing world. In short, when countries no longer have to buy the dollar to import, the wild ride
of the monetary system has come to an end. For example, from the basket, the Germans can pay in German Marcs or European currency
to Saudi Arabia for oil. Germany is free from buying dollars to purchase oil from Saudi. Furthermore, with this change, every
country must produce at least as much as they consume from around the world. Otherwise the value of its currency will begin
to fall, causing prices to rise and its standard of living to decline. Sharing the basket of currency's forces every country
to be responsible to produce more and consume less. The world is expecting America to comply with the same policy of production
and consumption. The more we consume the wilder the ride until the roller coaster falls of the track and crash.
THE RHYTHM OF THE
UNIVERSE BY DEANNA In the still of the night, my love and I walked to the sea to wash our bodies in its water.
After cleansing each other we arrived at the shore preparing for love. We searched for a cozy place and meditated
under a cool moon sky lit with a thousand-tiny-twinkling stars. As our bodies touched the white-water-washed sand, we saw
a brilliant star and heard a voice from the sea calling, "I
am the Spirit of Kama Sutra and the Wise Sage, who offers wisdom in the art of making love. We look in silence and
said, "Wise Sage, teach us the wisdom of Kama Sutra
because we only know what the world has taught us." In silence, we wait in humility until the Great Sage spoke, "Kama Sutra is an ancient art
of making love. The art of Love is like a mystical dance, a continuous flow of a beautiful embrace. The mind is the most powerful
sexual organ. As an artist, should always be patient and creative in its play. Physical pleasure is not the sole end of love
making. It is like music, stirring the emotions, quickening the senses, dissolving thought into a rhythm, until only one rhythm
exists. Kama Sutra is all energies in harmony and mutual recognition of two liberties – giving
and receiving pleasure and respect. Kama Sutra is beyond the ego, where love is not an object but love as a revelation of
the self by the gift of self." Guided by the rippling sound
of the waves the sage departed. In that moment, we became a source of Life as sacred. Thus, spoke
Kama Sutra embracing infinity, the rhythm of the Universe, in the Art of Making Love.
CALIFORNIA DREAM ACT
Mulling on the California Dream Act and looking at from various aspects I can’t help but to agree that it is California's
interest to invest in the future. My argument is simple: Firstly, this country has no alternative but to deal with the immigration
issue. Immigration reform is at hand. Secondly, as a nation we have the moral obligation to support the young who were brought
here by their parents. They have grown up on our soil, and they made no decision to leave their native land. Thirdly, they
are not responsible for breaking another nation’s laws. Lastly, these college students have learned enough about America
not just to fit in, but to succeed here. I am sure that those students who would be covered by the Dream Act have mastered
English. The opportunity to assimilate is greater, and unlike their parents, they speak Engl...ish. Investing in higher education is fruit bearing
opposed to fruit picking and cleaning toilets. Please, fruit picking and toilet cleaning are respectable jobs. The parents
didn't have a choice. The children observed the toil and back-breaking work, and desire to break the pattern of poverty.
The parents sacrificed and we have the opportunity to reap the benefit. The hope is in their kids if we allow the seed of
the Dream Act to harvest. I am in support of the California Dream Act because we have no alternative as a world leader
to be sensitive to young people who have lived and assimilated to the American lifestyle. Higher education is an investment
towards the greater good. The parents of the undocumented took a great risk hoping that their children can do better. I cannot
call these young people, “ illegal" but “undocumented’. The parents are illegal, and as a moral nation
the kids must not be held accountable for the sins of the parents. This is my contribution to the California Dream Act. I
support higher education, investing in California's future, and hold the kids harmless and parents' accountable. However,
that is also debateable.
A
rebuttal and adding insight to Assemblyman Curt Hagman's letter.
The strategy of Ronald Reagan no
longer applies in an age of nuclear availability, high technology, and communication. The world has matured from tribal consciousness
to global consciousness in word having the internet and high-technology intercede. The stroke of a keyboard is far mightier
than a swift sword in the battlefield. Words have the power to connect and resolve differences. As the world connects the
tribal mentality dissipates into a stream of consciousness that loves, and freedoms are universal. It stands alone not bound
to a country, flag, or song. It has no boundaries or geography. Humans are evolved from the Universe. It is a gift not to
a nation but to life itself. Therefore; freedom is never more than observing the observed that you are the world,... and the world is you. The world is your family not members of a tribe but members of Earth. The
tragedy of September 11 was the opportunity to think before sending troops in the battlefield. The Bin Laden saga was not
an intend to destroy western values but the west interference in the Middle East and the need to exploit natural resources
like oil. Saudi Arabia is the most oppressive monarch dictator in the region; however, the oil-rich Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
is generous and an excellent host to our foreign policy. The west would not consider removing a compliant dictator and king.
Most of the murderers of 9/11 were Saudi nationals. I am deeply saddened of the lives lost. Every life is a gift. How can
America justify one and a half-million life lost in Iraqi, over one million displaced, and scores of refugees intruding on
neighboring states? I am disappointed of America extreme over reaction playing into the hands of radicals making us more fascist
and easier to demonize. The tragedy of 9/11 is the propaganda conceding liberty for the false promise of protection. I watched
the crime; however, as horrific our response was even more criminal in the sense that a lot of innocent Muslims all over the
Middle East were unnecessarily killed by American bombs than by Al Queda. And since September 11 a fanatical pursuit to kill
all the “bad guys” was aggressively employed. I added to this insanity the Patriot Act. September 11 made an already
hyper militaristic paranoid fear driven society into an even more psychotic state with total contempt for the rule of law.
September 11 was the worst thing what happen to America because we did everything the radicals wanted us to. My desire is
for Americans to re-think and meditate on mitigating using the battlefield and negate paranoid fear to the rule of law. The
greatest gift for America is to cease the addiction to oil, find an energy alternative, support a Palestian state, fairness
in foreign policy, and leave the Middle East. The Middle East is competent to establish democracy if the west stays out. The
people ought to choose and eject their leader. We appear to foster democracy but instead we are fearful for a Middle East
that is independent. It is to our advantage to put away our fear and have the people struggle. We will be pleasantly surprised
that these ancient states can manage quite well and love us for it. Once we pack and go toward democracy America will once
again be like the “old glory.”.
CARL GUSTAV JUNG'S THEORY OF THE SHADOW.
I disagree with the
distinguished professor pertaining to Carl Gustav Jung’s theory of the Shadow in American politics. It is not only the
United States that are at fault in depicting states as evil. The Middle East views America as the empire of Satan and Israel
the Babylon Harlot. However, putting that aside let us take a look at Carl Jung's shadow theory. For me, a shadow is the
material manife...station individually imposed but
universally independent of the Mind. Collectively, humans are psychologically universal, the same regardless of skin color
or physical characteristics. At birth the brain is conditioned by parents, society, culture, media, religion, and education.
We are driven to act on impulses from boundaries' self-imposed, society, and inherited. A brain conditioned is repetitive,
and in a constant pattern of ego centered activity. The repetition of the ego centered activity finds’ security in those
boundaries; therefore, the mind is narrow and find it difficult to empty and observe clarity. Education discourages the interrogating
of assumptions that govern every aspect of life from the personal to the universal. Authorities lead to social, religious,
and political conflict. All those are material manifestations imposed by an manufactured consent including Jung's theory
of the dark side of the ego ideal. Ideals are illusions independent of the Mind. The mind is free to discard any material
manifestation through deep inquiry, observation, and meditation.
CONFLICT, DESTINY, AND TIME.
Conflict is the
destiny of mankind and has manifested in language, skin color, culture, and extreme religion. Time has alienated humanity
but redeemed humanity when culture and people marry and mingle into a global community. Stewed into a melting pot time added
spices and salt to spur a taste of all sorts. The mellowing of extreme religious thought soften the extremist into a moderate
believer. Maturation of consciousness is time in the making, and diversity unveiled rigid patterns and psychological conditioning.
The conflict of resources hindered the development of mankind. This is where humanity’s real enemies emerge, and redemption
of time crawled like a snail. Firstly, it begins with the private ownership of the Earth’s vital human resources. And
fascist corporate tyrannies strut a stance in every form. It is the hoarding of wealth and to use that wealth to purchase
power in order to maintain the selfish ownership. The Earth's vital human resources is a gift from the Universe. In short,
this is a conflict between the people of every nation and the corporations of the world. Secondly, is the conflict between
freedom and tyranny. There are many manifestations of tyranny, but the most basic, is the rule of a dictator. Until all dictators
are removed, the people themselves will never be able to acquire the power to confront the real enemy, corporate world-wide
tyranny. Lastly, the people cannot control the Earth's resources until they have the right to speak, to assemble, to organize,
to vote, and ultimately to demand the return of what is rightly
theirs, The sustenance of the Earth, and the freedom to choose their own destiny.
ROUTE 66
Congratulations.
Thank you Stater Brothers, Mayor Morris, police department, fire department, and organizers. San Bernardino is on the
map of hospitality and generosity providing a life line to our past. The show of cars and tunes connected us to an era similar
to the roaring twenties. The Fab 4 sang perfectly the songs of the Beatles and for a moment I thought it was the Brits. I
had a good time and observed the police who enjoyed the Redezvous but remained focused like an Eagle. I had to chuckle when
a fire officer danced and tapped lighlty to a melody. She did well. Truly, I am proud to be part of the city. Thanks from

A NO KILL POLICY
"The Glory of natural selection
is in the detail, and the Divine is in the possibility, the Sacred Dance of evolution. The Cosmos is full of possibilities."
A no-kill policy added to the pet-overproduction ordinance is to embellish truth and justice. And if you have reverence for
a life refrain from eating meat and reject entertainment. The touch, sight, smell, and sound of an animal are to delight our
senses with joy. Re-think your creation in the Cosmos, and isn't the Cosmos creative in its play? Why would you want to
kill and exploit other creations? The animal- Kingdom is part of our sacred dance in time and space, a true value independent
from society.
Adding insight to the editorial of the Arab world and Western leaders.
Western
leaders can restore respect if the interest is genuine and not maintaining privileged access to Libya's oil and strategic
location. Unfortunately, I observe the world of oil is in the background concerning Libya and the region. The uprising
began as part of the Arab Spring, with an effort to depose one more Arab dictat...or. Current developments are moving forward towards that goal by the people. Libya does not need
the US and Nato involvement in overthrowing a small family-based autocracy. Western powers have much to make up for in the
Middle East and Africa. The assistance from Western powers are appreciated, but gloating about doing Arabs a favor are humanitarian
efforts in vain pursuit. It can assist with diplomatic efforts only. Tribes view Western leaders and Israel as enemies because
of the Palestine-Israeli conflict and Middle Eastern-African foreign policy. Western leaders must also steer away from driving
a wedge between those whom they consider moderates and others deemed “ Islamism." Libya will need cooperation among
all its citizens. The movement of the Arab spring will not permit control by outside Western forces who are interested in
maintaining privileged access to Libya’s oil and strategic location. The interest must be human and national rights
for the people of Libya. The spring will flow to remove more dictators from the region like Yemen, Syria, and hopefully Saudi
Arabia.
RESPONSIBILITY IS OURS NOT THE INMATES.
I disagree with Mr. Saldana because beautification is a humanitarian effort for the citizens of San Bernardino. It
is our responsibility to keep our city beautiful not the Sheriff nor Probation. The project is not about money but respect
for our community and initiate a friendly atmosphere. The mayor and common council are asking for our help, citizens of San
Bernardino, to pick-up, pitch, and partake. Inmates can wish us well, kick back, and be cozy.
TWO-TERM LIMIT POLITICIANS.
Attorney Milligan would do well to
draft a two-term limit for elected officials serving the city. Long term was not the intent of the framers of the US constitution.
If the rule of law applies to the president of the states why not mandate the law for each state and municipality? Career
politicians are professionals not representatives of their constituents. The intent of the framers was to serve ...the public for a time before returning to their communities. As long as professionals are leading,
we are forgotten and replaced by special interest. If we want a healthy government limit a politician term to serve. Long
term politicians become mafia bosses in order to sustain the power and perks of the office. A two-term limit mitigates corruption
and motivates to serve and deliver to constituents.
DRAWN-OUT STRIKE IS A CHECKMATE.
The environmental climate offers
opportunities for competition and the un-employed. A drawn-out strike will expedite the goal for non-union and those eager
to work. I guarantee a checkmate for those ready and able. And available to fetch a bone while protestors prance and parade
for more meat.
BE MINDFUL OF LUNATICS.
“Blight Eats at Heart of San Bernardino, June 27, 1965," San Bernardino
Sun threw its weight to raze for mall.Forty-six years ago the common council of San Bernardino dismissed David Earle Jordan
as a lunatic. The lunatic, a lone voice lamented, "San Bernardino seems to have fallen prey to at least three myths of
downtown revitalization. If we build it, they will come. If we demolish it, they wil...l come. If we are complete, they will come." To
him, it was "incredible" the city would adopt the plan without alternative concepts. And nothing in Gruen's
plan allowed for retention of old historic buildings with their "natural charm and link to the past" which no other
plan could duplicate....Historic preservation predicated on the myth that developers could not be induced unless we're
given a clean canvas on which to work. This was the case m...ost significant, in terms of major structures lost, was the Central
City Project which had begun, in earnest, in 1967. The plan was implemented by Gruen Associates centered on a rival
shopping mall to be built with public redevelopment funds. Opposition to the plan came mainly from an association of business
owners who assert the practice of redevelopment constituted an attack on their individual rights. Proponents urged the
council to act quickly or the area will sink into further decay and said the downtown decay was affecting them and warned
the council, unless immediate action was taken, they would move out. Mrs. Irma J. Schulling, Ruth Haberkorn, and other League
of Women voters point out that revitalization must occur for San Bernardino, or it cannot remain a healthy, growing city.
"We must do something about it soon," said Mrs. Schulling. Mrs. Sutherland, a local business owner, a proponent
of the North Lake project said, "We need to be ready. We need to start now. We are probably very late starting, and I
urge you to adopt this project. I think it is a positive move. We must move forward, not keep looking backward." The
comments from Mrs. Schulling on February 10, 1965 and Mrs. Linda Sutherland on April 25, 2005 declared an urgency to raze
neighborhoods fearing the disease of blight will blanket the city. Two women pointed out "blight", and "doing
it soon." Further, the women cried that the area is infested "like a cancer" and may spread if not eliminated.
The Sun threw its weight behind the mass demolition with a photo-feature in 1965 describing the existing downtown as a drab-dreary"
world full of "relic(s) of bygone Day (s) in which age was equated with blight." An accompanying editorial rhetorically
challenged the hold outs, asking "Do they fight for the right to blight?" Victor Gruen pointed to the outmoded
structures, the dreary environment and the awkward and inconvenient system of parking the customer's substantially contributes
to business decline. This City has fallen prey to revitalization myth and like Gruen razing is the convenient way. The
Sun depicted blight as a disease that will spread on the entire city. The Sun claimed the mall (Blight Eats at Heart of San
Bernardino, June 27,1965) will resolve downtown problems, strengthen and build the community. Examine the myth surrounding
revitalization using condemnation as a tool and be mindful of lunatics like David Earle Jordan.
THE DECAY OF AN
OLIVE BRANCH.
The majority of Israelis are very excited about the statehood of Palestine. The engagement
of separating and having a framework of international law appeals to the population. The two-state solution removes any responsibility
to territories it once occupied and destroyed. However, to the Diaspora Zionest Jews, the two-state is confrontational
and belligerent in nature. The hawkish militant and expansionist want all the territory with the Palestinians or without
them. Decades of negotiating will end with a veto and lead to an eventual demographic meltdown. Jewish historian
Josepheus passionately wrote that oppression has an end. For six decades, Israel like the Roman Empire seized land with no
recognition of a border. And like the Romans forced those who stayed in ghetto conditions with helicopters rapping and
tapping hosted by the military at every check-point. The Jews were dispersed like the Pales tines and the right to return
was infringed. History has appeal for the majority of Israelis and comprehends the wisdom of Josepheus. It is the
Diaspora Zionest Jewish narrative that has become the Roman Empire of Israel. In a day or so the Palestian Authority seeks statehood. However, knowing the history well statehood
is not an option. Why should those members vote for a Palestine statehood? The United Nations in
1947 are the same members who will determine the fate of Palestine. It is for this reason a veto is set and
Palestine statehood on hold. Since the United Nations are double-standard I don't think Palestine has
faith because of the rule of law in 1947. The United Nations failed to intercede Israel's
unlawful seizure of Palestine land that wiped Palestine of the map. The world knows Israel, the Gaza Strip,
and the West Bank. To understand the sixty-year conflict I have to turn the clock to 1947. After world war 11 the Jews were not welcome in Europe. And in 1947 Resolution 181 calls
for two states, a Jewish state and an Arab state. Although the Arabs were against the resolution, it formed the legal basis
for Israel as a sovereign state. This is why the declaration of Independence of Israel relied strongly on this resolution.
So, in 1947 Palestine and Israel were two states based on the partition plan. The Jewish state was supposed to
be on the border of 1947, which then was about 50 percent of Palestine. Today, Israel is recognized as a sovereign state,
yet there is no recognition of Israel’s borders because of their illegal seizure of land, building settlements, and
like the Roman Empire conquered and oppressed. The veto of America
saves Palestine because of the geographical aspects. Firstly, based on the Partition Plan, the Jewish state was to be on the
border of 1947, which then was 50 per cent of Palestine. The upcoming move may make the legal revisions to the resolution
from 1947 regarding geographical aspects. Therefore, the Jewish state will be on the borders of the Green line, 75 percent
of Palestine rather than 50 per cent, as designated by the partition resolution of 1947. Secondly, the statehood
must affect the status of the refugees. Resolution 194 of 1948 states that the Pales tines have the right to return
for compensation. Thirdly, the two-state solution defines Israel as a Jewish state and not as a Jewish-Arab state
and Palestine as a Palestine state and not a Palestine-Jewish state. In order to keep the order of ethnicity, the right to
return, should be exercised in the new state of Palestine but without losing the right for compensation. Lastly, to implement
the Partition Plan of the border to 1947, (50 percent) the right of return, Two groups of Palestinians would exercise
their right of return: the so-called 1948 refugees who live outside Israel's pre-June 1967 borders (approximately 6 million
persons today), and Palastians who have become internally displaced persons (IDP) since 1948 (approximately 300,000 persons
today) plus the right of compensation is an unlikely undertaking for Israel. America’s veto is a blessing in disguise because the Security Council vote is only a
recommendation. The General Assembly, especially under the authority of Resolution 377, can grant Palestine statehood regardless
of a US veto. If the General Assembly invokes Resolution 377 and over-rides that US veto, Palestine becomes a state. And
the US government stands helpless. Resolution 377, known as Uniting for Peace, was passed in 1950 during the Korean
War to break the dead lock. It was a US initiative to circumvent the Soviet Union blocking action to protect South Korea.
It is a rarely used mechanism whereby a two-thirds majority in the General Assembly can override the Security Council.
And its veto-wielding members in specific circumstances, where the 15-member decision-making body ''fails to
exercise its primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security in any case where there appears
to be a threat to the peace, breach of the peace, or act of aggression.'' If all fails, the last
option is the will of nuclear Arab states. And like the Roman Empire, the ruler is ruled
and like the Pales tines, a Diaspora for the Jews who missed opportunities for a two-state and peace.
BAD PROPOSAL BY NEIL
DERRY
I disagree with Supervisor Neil Derry pertaining to his proposal of ousting the undocumented worker.
The proposal is not American and almost totalitarian in nature. The war against the fifteen percent- un-employment is to create
a more business–friendly state. A good start is to lift the restriction that makes California one of the most expensive
places in the nation to do business. I support Derry’s point of view that jobs are for Americans. However; we must be
wise because the immigration issue is at hand. It is only a matter of time. Creating hostility to young people who were brought
here by their parents may cause violence to members of society. My argument is simple. Firstly, they have grown up on our
soil, and they made no decision to leave their native land. Secondly, they are not responsible for breaking another nation'...s
laws. Thirdly, most of the workers have learned enough about America not just to fit in, but to succeed here. The opportunity
to assimilate is greater, and unlike their parents, they speak English. Lastly, they are psychologically Americans. I do not
support Derry’s proposal because we have no alternative as a county-state-nation-world leader to be sensitive to people
who have lived and assimilated to the American lifestyle. The proposal is immoral because young people should not be punished
and be held harmless because they are, “undocumented.” We should offer a pathway to citizenship for those who
helped in the good times from fruit-picking to cleaning-toilets. As a compassionate host we should war against unemployment.
And I believe that if we offer a pathway to documentation, our friends will join as Americans to war against unemployment.
In short, the proposal is un-sound, un-wise, and un-productive. It will cause un-rest, violence, and hatred among the Mexican-American
community. The Mexican-American community will deeply resent the proposal because they have observed the toil and back-breaking
work of the undocumented who desired to break the pattern of poverty.
SAUDI ARABIA SECRETS
Meditating
on September 11, 2001 I often wonder why we did not go after Saudi Arabia, and if we ever will. Saudi Arabia is the birth
place of al Qaeda. Let us briefly take a look at Usama Bin Laden and how he was indoctrinated with extreme Wahhabi Islam.
Mulling on the Saudi's education I tend to think that in every household lives a potential Jihad. At a young age, the
core teaching at the state-run school is to hate and kill infidels of the west. Infidels are at the Wahhabi’s disposal
to slave, and the doctrine advocate violence and death as a measure to defend their religion. Seventeen million people are
controlled by Wahhabism, and the Saudi monarchy enforces, and on which it bases its legitimacy. The extreme view of Wahhabism
consists of wrathful dogma, rejecting the co-existence of different religions and explicit condemning Christians, Jews, all
other no...n-Muslims, as well as non-Wahhabi Muslims. And Saudi efforts to advance Wahhabism in America and throughout the
world go well beyond passing out literature and humanitarian efforts. Meditating on the issue the people of Saudi Arabia and
the Royal Family are responsible for the 9/11 attack since most are Saudi Nationals. Since 9/11, the Saudi’s have pumped
billions in petrodollars into the effort to spread Wahhabi Islam throughout the Muslim world. We cannot dismiss the Royal
Family which consists of six-thousand as the war-mongers because the Royals are themselves the product of the very education
system. I have no doubt of the September 11 terrorist connections to Saudi Arabia, and I have no doubt about the large amounts
of money that the Saudis are spending to spread Wahhabism. The Saudi Government - largely through its embassy - is believed
to have funneled at least $120 million into Australia since the 1970s to propagate hard-line Islam, bankroll radical clerics
and build mosques, schools and charitable organizations. Even so, the Saudi cash that has flowed into Australia, that also
allegedly has paid the allowance of hard-line Canberra cleric Mohammed Swaiti, who has publicly praised jihads, is dwarfed
by the $90 billion Riyals is believed to have pumped into promoting Islamic fundamentalism internationally. For years, the
war in Iraqi has been an excellent breeding ground for Wahhabism because of Saudi’s relationship with Pakistan. The
Saudi’s and other extremist used the war for propaganda to discredit America and legitimize Wahhabism. When we leave
Afghanistan Saudi Arabia and Pakistan will enforce Wahhabism with the Taliban. Unless, we stop Saudi Arabia from spreading
the radical Wahhabist teachings to spread across the western world, specifically my country, the United States. I believe
we are asking for more trouble than our left-leaning politicians can handle. Cooperation with Saudi Arabia is treason because
al-Qaeda and the Wahhabis share essential the same underlying totalitarian theocratic ideology. Saudi Arabia wants world totalitarian
rule and Shariah law based on Wahhabism Islam. And to conquer violence is inherent in the ideology. The Shariah Law mandates
violence to submit or die. In short, the oil relationship America has with Saudi Arabia must cease, and America must take
a second look at the history of Saudi Arabia, the totalitarian theocratic ideology, find a way to mitigate extreme views of
Islam, and educate that religion is a choice. America is rich in oil and innovation. However; we act like a poor country and
bow to a country that has killed thousands of Americans and hate America.
GLOBAL MANAGEMENT MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE AND
TRANSPARENT.
I disagree with the editorial. I suggest listening to the United Nations General Assembly
debates. The president of Iran had a valid point pertaining to the member states allowing the United Nations to deviate from
its main course and play into the hands of world powers. The United Nations is a reflection of the collective will and shared
inspiration of the community of nations. The United Nations had been created to make possible the effective participation
of all nations in the international decision-making process. The current composition of the Security Council is unjust and
inequitable. All of its members should be responsible to share a collective global management. This management, after six
decades was still unable to find a solution to the Palestinian question and putting an end to Israeli occupation to Arab territories.
Israel violated eighty-nine legally binding Security Council resolutions, as well as numerous General Assembly texts. Listening
closely to President Obama's last address I believed for a moment a resolution was on the horizon between Palestine and
Israel. Sadly, yesterday I looked with bitterness at a bleak horizon, darkened by lead footed progress, stagnated, hardened
positions, and twisted diplomatic negotiations. I would like to see a United Nations that is transparent and accountable for
member states and share collective global management. It has been interesting listening to the debates and like most states,
I hope that Palestine join the United Nations as the 194th state. I don't think it is going to change much because Israel
narrowed the gap between Gaza and the West Bank. Furthmore; the acquisition of land for settlers, a Berlin wall, and an infrastructure
dividing the Palestines makes it impossible for a vital Palestian state. The only benefit I observe is that Israel will think
twice about the rule of law and their position in the international community. To conclude, Palestine is not only Gaza and
the West Bank. It is the sum of the Diaspora, (six million) refugees, (one million) right of return, right of compensation,
and the return of unauthorized territory seized by illegal settlers since 1947. The Palestians lke the Jews have a right to
return. If the right of return applies to the Israleli Jew the Arab Palestian has the right to return to their homeland. The
only possibility for peace is the 50% land division set by the United Nations in 1947. Peace is a illusion, however; I am
happy that Palestine held on to the olive branch for six decades and decided not to drop it.
FINALLY, MAHOUD ABBAS REALIZED HIS CAUSE.
Mr. Mahoud Abbas achieved his realization of a cause when he addressed the states of the United Nations.
He rightfully earned his place next to Yassar Arafat, the deceased leader of the Palestian Liberation. The general assembly
chamber was packed and still to hear the Palestine plight of a Berlin Wall, unlawful settlements, seizure of territory, right
of return, the refugees, and his request for Palestian statehood. At the end of his forty-five minute speech he received a
standing ovation, a continuous applause, and recognition. Israel and America sat motionless. I am disappointed that America
sat still wondering why the world states responded so well. Mr. Mahoud Abbas found his niche and stood up against a superpower
for a cause that will be remembered by foreign states.
ADIOS
TO A CULTURAL TRAGEDY.
Adios matadors.
Adios spectators. The game of bull-fighting is over -- well -- only in Catalonia, Spain. Hopefully cities follow suit to end
a cultural tragedy. I reject any form of animal entertainment. Bull-fighting triggers our savage instinct for abased pleasure.
Pleasure, a trill to kill dominates the sport of bull fighting. The spectacle of the matador spearing the bull is climaxed
by the roar of spectators demanding a kill. The sport is staged, a thirst for blood like the days of Caesar and the gladiators.
THIN OUT WALL STREET A
new gang of Yippies are protesting the boys at Wall Street. This group is unlike the 1920s known as the “Street”
was bombed by rebel anarchist. A non-violent breed today, holding on to the hatred of the wheeling and dealing that drives
US capitalism and global capitalism have for the last week staged an encampment a few blocks of the Exchange as a part of
what they call, “Ocuppy Wall Street.” Sp...eeches
by the group are equal to Bolivia and Velenzula grievances to the United Nations General Assembly against the terror of capitalism.
A monetary system favored for the few. Yes, This group is like the Hippies back in the sixties when a politicized arm of unconventional
people holding flowers wormed their way into the tour of the New York Stock Exchange. While up on the visitors' gallery,
looking down on the trading floors, they threw US legal tender – coins and bills –at the boys below who, when
they realized what it was, began diving for dollars. History has a tendency to repeat the colorful assault on money. I was
twenty when the Hippies stood up to Wall Street. Forty years passed, and the Main Street banner is forwarded to you, the Yippies.
As a Yippie living on Main Street what are you going to do about Wall Street? We, the Hippies did our part. Now, it is up
to you to thin out Wall Street.
SEDUCTION
OF FREE TRADE.
Kill the seduction of an illusion. And re-think our toxic relationship with NAFTA, CAFTA,
GATT, and WTO. America should contemplate the disappearance of nine million jobs and the closing of fifty-thousand factories
as part of “free trade.” Perhaps, economist can re-think our relationship with NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT, and WTO. I
believe the answer to our job-creation plight is in our hysterical advocacy of trade. Do you think it is free? Are you seduced
to satisfy the insatiable lust of special interest
THE CZAR
OF RUSSIA The people of Russia belief that Putnam is clothed with ideal strength and courage
to move Russia forward. In November 2008 the Russian’s constitution was amended to a six term. This would give Putnam
to 2024 to rule his Russian Empire, an imitation of democracy. Yes, Putnam is running for President in 2012. State media will
have the Czar gallop a white horse to unite his voters. When it is over......,
the harsh wind of Russia will pound in every corner of the Earth. It will be difficult to root Putnam out of his autocratic
government because like Stalin, he is a man of steel. Outwardly, he glows and his countenance is like an endless fountain
of youth. Psychologically, his death wish is a resting place in history equal to Lenin and Stalin.
The
bourgeoisie smells like dead fish.
The heartfelt letter of Terry is what America is all about. Mr.
Masi is insightful and endowed with a delightful rebellious spirit. And as a consolation most of the population are on board
with him. New York is an example of a refreshing spring moving toward a smooth flowing waterfall. Rebels of, “Occupied
Wall Street” represents the majority of America’s proletariat. For most, the bourgeoisie is like dead fish. The
smell reeks that immediate attention to find the stench becomes priority and must be exposed. Wall Street Bankers, large and
multi-national corporations, and the wealthiest Americans throws seed of destruction to cuts, concessions in wages, benefits,
and social welfare programs. Their moral compass died. Tax the rich and create jobs and save social programs. Make no cuts
or concessions in wages, benefits, and social welfare programs; make investments in education,
rebuilding of infrastructure, and transit improvements. The Occupied Wall Street protests have already succeeded. The movement
has successfully re-focused the nation's debate on who ruined the economy and who should be targeted, shifting blame away
from immigrants, unions, and other groups of working people, like public employees. The protests have been also re-fueled
working people's energy. And after the post-Wisconsin letdown, energies are activated of many who want to organize for
progressive change in the interests of working people. However, all movements either grow or shrink. A large occupied Wall
Street marched across the Brooklyn Bridge on October 1st resulted in 700 arrests. Through such tactics the police intend to
chip away at the movement until they feel strong enough to strangle it. The stench has surfaced, and the rich are on notice.
The burden is placed on us to restore the Constitution of America and liberty for all.
JAB THE DRAGON AND RIDE ON HIS TAIL UNTIL TRADE POLICY IS EQUAL.
Don’t buy
from China until trade policy is equal with America. Last month, China imported a boastful $25 billion in goods while America
exported a tearful $7 billion. The injured Eagle must bite the tail to mitigate the lustful Dragon from taking American manufacturing
and job creation. Why should we print more money and de-value t...he
dollar to feed the insatiable appetite of the Chinese? America must jab China regardless of opposition from the G20, including
the Chancellor with the Meinkempf look, Angela Merkel of Germany. If we don’t jab and ride China will replace America
as a super-power in 2016. Ghandi was morally and politically correct when he burned clothes sewn in England. Ghandi wrapped
his body with cotton cloth spun in India. Reform or kill trade policies and cease currency manipulation.
October 02, a
celebration of Mahatma's birth. Today, I celebrate a birthday and dance to the heart
of a great soul, Mahatma Ghandi, the champion of non-violence who liberated India from British colonial rule. Often, I think
how three-hundred million Indians allowed to be ruled by one-hundred-thousand British elitist for three-hundred decades regardless
of military force. Ghandi is my role model and his philosophical strategy of non-violence u...ntil his people took responsibility and boot the invader
back to England. Upon his death, he left six possessions: Hindu Bhagavita, sleeping cot, spinning wheel, eye classes, home-spun-cotten-sari
wrap, and hand-carved walking cane. Ghandi could have profited as a lawyer cuddling to British rule and the elitist.
Instead, he chose a road less traveled, a daunting task of liberation and simplicity that won the heart of the world.
The spectator
becomes the spectacle. I disagree with Tobin Brinker pertaining to his Mafia take on a regional noise
impact fee. The spectacle mirrored the spectators, and artists expressed favorably the genre. Brinker should be mindful that
the Rave added to the city coffer, and it was hospitality that drew the Rave to San Bernardino. A pleasant experience is far
greater than threats of a non-refundable fee. It is unrealistic because... an artist performs in the moment and relates to the
manifestation and hysteria of the crowd. Last week I had the pleasure to be entertained by the Beach Boys. Most of the
audiences were aging boomers. When the Beach Boys tickled the guitar to the music of the sixties boomers clapped, yelled,
and screamed. Hysteria is not only for the young. Personalities surface when the spectacle ignites the spectator into the
world of the artist. For me, my pleasure transforms into divinity when an artist strikes the ivory on the keyboard and plays
Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Music of the Beach Boys was joyful but not transforming like classical music that can easily
transcend into the world of the artist and soul of the composer.
Please, find
the facts President Obama takes a limited view on the two Iranian men with conspiracy to take out the Saudi
ambassador to Washington. Saudi's were mostly responsible for 9/11 and America took the fight to Afghanistan and Iraq.
Countless people are displaced, crammed in refugee camps, and over a million dead. Ten years later Saudi Arabia is basking
in the Sun while orphans and widows are scorched. Sanctions do not isolate Iran from the international community because
most states find Iran in good standing. The downfall of Wall Street and the domino recession trickling the globe are realities
opposed to suppositions. I suggest for President Obama to work on the economy than finding fault with Iran.
Class Warfare
Yes,
it is class warfare and the rich won. To understand class warfare, I have to turn the clock to the seventies. Class struggle
commenced when wages stagnated, and profits skyrocketed for corporations and stake-holders. Women joined the workforce. The
computer replaced jobs, and countries competed. The paycheck was inadequate to meet daily life and inflation. The banks offered
an alternative to ...the wage earner's plight. The credit card and loans were the capitalist tool to accommodate
the shortage of money. The rich enjoyed, a lavish lifestyle throwing debt, profited from cheap labor, and interest from credit-card
and loans. As a result, we have an over-whelmed debt ridden society who no longer can shoulder the burden of greed. Looking
at class warfare the root of the disease is with the board of directors. Regulation does not work. De-regulation does not
work. Because the board of directors can de-regulate anything. What works is for the corporation to form a partnership. Every
worker is a partner, on the board of directors, has a voice, and profits are distributed equally. America is a class
divided, and wealth was achieved from stagnating wages, exploiting the worker, pushing credit cards, and offering loans. Wealth
and power of the bourgeoisie are having a similar fate like the King of Babylon, Nebuchadnazzar. Instead of pruning, the tree
is cut to the stump. The irony of this landscape is that democracy is temper mental. If it favors the elite democracy
is at its best. However; if the rich are challenged than democracy becomes socialism or communisim. America's democracy
consists of ninety-nine percent prole trait and one-percent bourgeoisie. Is America really democratic?
FOOD STAMP FINGERPRINTING
Many
job applications require fingerprints, drug tests, and credit checks. If you object, you aren’t able to apply. Free
food from the government has its price; lose of independence, dignity, and ultimately, privacy. Of course, I disagree with
most of the above. Governor Brown did well signing A.B. 6 into law for poor residents receiving food stamps and other state-administered
benefits. Calculati...ng the cost for fingerprinting
the savings can assist more people. Most of the populations are poor because poverty is not having enough money. Think. How
many people are short of money? I am sure that most of us are rowing the same boat. Governor Brown did well and hopefully
the savings can mitigate hunger cramps for those afraid to be fingerprinted.
ORGAN
DONATING
Donating your organ and tissue should be a decision
free of honoring a memory. Steve Jobs is gone. Conditions seek a psychological reward. However; if the action of the insight
is free from attachment consciousness matures, and perception heightens. Without reward, the act of giving life to save a
life is profoundly sacred.
CORPORATE MEDIA
UNDER REIN. Corporate media is under the rein of alternative and free-speech media of all sorts, including the
internet. Now, thousands of people can be part of your world. A good example is the Wall Street Occupied or the Arab Spring
initiated by one person. And look at it now. Furthermore, you can examine the world by scanning the additional globe. I prefer
world news and observe how the world understands America. In sum, all societies are corrupt. To find a truth, you must step
out of the box.
SENIORS HAVE
BECOME A DEFECT. I disagree with Philip Pumerantz's optimism pertaining to political forces binding upon
the interest of those depicted defective. The evidence of my argument is acknowledging the joke played on the American people
by the health insurance companies. Regardless of corpses, the laughter from these starving sharks can be heard proudly and
loudly at the bank. The appetite of the sharks can only be curb by massive demonstration. A daunting task feared by politicians. Do you know that health
insurance companies are laughing all the way to the bank while people die? In the midst of one of the deepest recessions,
these sharks have pocketed record profits while forty-five-thousand corpses are turning in their graves. Thanks to President
Obama’s two-thousand page laugh track written by the insurance industry for the insurance industry. The president’s
promise was a single-payer health-care plan, a universal health-care plan, a plan where everybody is in. Everybody is not
in, and a lot of people are out. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is so hopelessly inadequate in addressing
the health-care crisis. And he is going down in history as a president who played the cruelest joke to the American people.
Yes, legislation expands the Medicaid program to cover an additional twenty-six people, but does anyone believe the federal
government will still pay the entire cost for expansion of the program, as promised? Medicaid is under bipartisan assault
and hundreds of thousands of recipients have been cut off to balance the state budget deficits. The Democrats are proposing
three-hundred and twenty- billion in cuts to both Medicaid and Medicare to trim the federal deficit. As you can see, the plan
is to mitigate care for seniors and the disabled. Profit before people and since seniors and the disabled are defective the
mitigation to a kill is utilitarian in nature.
THE ERROR OF ELIJAH MUHAMMAD AND THE NATION OF ISLAM
A ritual
takes place every Tuesday. I take the guys to Church's chicken for a special. The place was packed, and the line swirled
to the outside of the building. I watched the crowd and in the corner of my eye, I noticed a black man dressed smartly in
a gray suit, white shirt, and lavender tie. Holding literature he walked towards the line and n...oticed my look and approached with a great smile showing
perfect ivory. I asked if he is on a mission or call. He said he is from the Nation of Islam and hand the, "Final Call"
edition. I took the edition and scanned to page nineteen. I read briefly the section of,"God Helps These Who Help Themselves,"
noting that the Black still depends on the White for approval, and freedom is questionable. I certainly agree that the
White had no business taking the Black from Africa and distributed them to be sold as slaves. I asked if the Black freed the
Black or the White freed the Black in America. He looked puzzled and said that the White freed the Black. I told him that
the Black freed the Black because they marched, protested, and voiced oppression. The Civil Rights movement rained darkness
on the White. The movement disgraced the White. And White mentality cast a spot light of being bankrupt intellectually, emotionally,
and spiritually. To make short, the White is not so intelligent as imagined. It was black intelligence that changed laws to
equality. I pointed to the last two sentences in the article. It reads. "We thank the White man for freeing us. And we
shall show him that we are intelligent enough to try now to stay free." The Black does not have to show the White that
he or she has intelligence. The White is aware of Black intelligence. It is the Black, who holds the grudge of the White taking
them out of Africa. And since the Black had intelligence in freeing themselves, they should have intelligence to transcend
boundaries imposed by the mind. At the end, I said that I disagreed Elijah Muhammad's belief of total separatism.
Segregation is like an apartheid that has no resolution for peace. Survival of the human species on our fragile planet depends
on dialogue and managing conflict. The young man smiled when I hand him my last dollar. He departed and looked over his shoulder
and waived fading slowly into the crowd.
San Bernardino
San Bernardino is not at the end. The only thing that comes to an end is 2011. It is time for renewed hope,
for things to be better next year. For our difficulties in the past to inspire us to move on firmly and to find solutions
to our problems. To fight for better ideals without losing our care. To belittle and blame is a futile and frankly humanitarian
effort in vain pursuit.
San Bernardino
Mayor Morris, I am sad to read comments of blame pertaining to the state of the city. Under your administration and
the work of your staff (city employees) San Bernardino is a better place. I observed dedication from every city employee who
faced the perfect storm of uncertainty. Regardless of title, everyone worked well. As a consolation, the freeway expansion
and the international airport are fruit-bearing projects of renewed hope, for things to be better.
TWO YEAR MARRIAGE
LICENSE PROPOSAL.
A two-year marriage license is on the table in Mexico. This is to test the health of
the couple's relationship. And a chance to see if the relationship should continue. The proposal is a step forward to
offer wiggle room for termination. However, in a predominately Catholic society, the proposal is like taking a wild ride on
a roller-coaster. Religious authorities shall twist and turn to halt the proposal. I support the proposal and hope it becomes
law and trickles up to California and other states.
UN ENVOY S.RICE. US
permanent envoy to the UN S. Rice is arrogant and damaging to represent international concerns for America. She is incapable
of grinding issues calmly. Furthermore, she lacks the skill of managing global conflict. This was evident when she stormed
out at a meeting with China and Russia. She profiled a spoiled kid who strived on getting her way, or else.
EVERY APARTHEID HAS AN ENDING. The State of Palestine is officially a member of the UNESCO and plans to seek membership in more than a dozen UN organizations.
The Pales tines are braved to accept the termination of US aid-funding. And is up to the challenge denouncing illegal settlements
in East Jerasulem. The Pales tines' and the Arabs fails to listen to Israel's bouts because at the end of the ...day the Pales tines are achieving a good result. Palestine
is recognized by the world as a legitimate state whose territory is narrowed by illegitimate settlements. Furthermore; the
people are deprived from basic humanitarian needs. The world observes an apartheid, and regardless of US influence every apartheid
has an ending.
OUR DOLLAR RIGHT ALONG WITH THE TURKEY IS COOKED BY SUPER-COMMITTEE. Thanksgiving is only three weeks away, and the Super Committee is assigned to cut $1.2 trillion from the budget. Politicians
are inherently self-interested in preserving their office and need votes to do so. Why would politicians cut programs that
would jeopardize their re-election? Most likely, the Super Committee will retort to... have the money be automatically cut from discretionary spending. Because, one of the agreements
from the August meetings was that if they don't come up with a plan to cut $1.2 Trillion in spending by Thanksgiving,
then the $1.2 Trillion is supposed to be cut from spending. In short, they never had the intention. The American people had
to believe that true diligence of a Super-Committee was at hand. I'm guessing we'll see the dollar get cooked this
Thanksgiving, right along with the Turkey.
FRIENDS OF REAGAN-PARK
- A PASSIONATE ACCOMPLISHMENT Friends of Reagan-Park brought a piece of the Berlin Wall to the City of San Bernardino.
Since then, the Friends of Reagan add an academic enrichment of history. Nestled among San Bernardino majestic mountains the
Berlin Wall is a symbol of freedom and liberty for all.
PASSION Passion
is where all energies bind to an exalted undescribed pleasure. Classical music stirs my emotion to a passion.
Less excess and more
access - A guiding moral principle A notable rumbling of emotions is stirred between members of society. An awaking arousal
as we, the poor realize our false commitment of a lifestyle incompatible with our economic and social aspirations. Since the
awakening, we saw the indulgences of the wealthy who exposed in conspicuous consumption. Since then, we tossed our begging
bowl attitude to the curb. Instead, we seek access to increase opportunities and social mobility. It deems fit to nurture
economic aspirations and class integration and have a guiding principle of, "Less excess and more access" development
policy in our society.
Us and Them Why do we have to share the burden
and tighten up? The argument runs, that the only way to save ourselves is for us to get poorer and for them to get richer.
And if the rich are taxed, they have no incentive to invest. Furthermore, fewer jobs and we all suffer. What should we do?
What can they do? This is taboo and propaganda. Tax and have them take us out of debt. We did not cause the crises. Scared
tactics have no impact, and intimidation has run its course. The burden to salvage the country is on the rich not on the poor.
We simply cannot afford it.
A well-written article filled with an excellent creative
flair of description, imagery, scenery, sound, and tone. The Inland Empire buzzes with gruesome enterprising tales of the
dark side. To add to the humor, don't forget our gorgeous gibberish personalities of sleek call girls' wheeling and
dealing for a trick. These brides of Frankenstein look forward to scoring a treat and wait to bait on dusty and dreary street-corners.
This alone should win the prize of being the most ghoulish and ghastly.
On a warm note, San Bernardino is beautiful
and full of surprises.
The United Nations is a five ring-leader world circus. I disagree that the United Nations
does not act as a one world government. It is the world government controlled by five winning nations. Certainly, it is a
forum for the world’s 193 sovereign states to debate issues and determine collective courses of action. The old relic
should be removed to have vetoed power. Since world war 11, the five w...inning
states (China, Russia, United Kingdom, France, and America) gave themselves the privilege to be a permanent member state on
the security council. Presently, because of the veto feature, each time one of the five permanent member states is involved
in a crisis or in an international dispute. The Security Council in its inherent nature is corrupt that if a decision is,
to the contrary, the entire members of the United Nations are paralyzed. This is unsustainable because powerhouses such as
Japan, India, Brazil, and Germany have no veto power. They should join the five winning members. These countries are large
and stable democracies' giants who should not be left out of the world decision process. Furthermore, the United Nations
should consider African and Middle Eastern states even though none seems to meet the requirements of long-term political stability
and economic dynamism. If the United Nations strives for democracy and legitimacy in a globalize world it has no alternative
but to reflect a reality of having more member states on the security council. The five winning nations paralyze the purpose
and creation of the United Nations. If this is the goal, than it strives to be a one world government. The security council
is in a crisis, and unless it changes in the number, it faces its own demise of democracy and legitimacy.
RE-FASION HIGHER EDUCATION AND DE-FASHION
CORPORATE AIMS.
We must refashion higher education for human needs, not corporate aims. Our economic system pinpoints
how dysfunctional our principles are as people. To cut funding at universities for corporate greed is subjecting us to servitude.
The bourgeoisie wants us dependent and stupid. The philosophy of starving and fatiguing the beast wards of competition, and
at the end we become that image. Not only, public but also private universities are monsters
who think of corporate aims. I find that disturbing and disconcerting, but more so for public universities. In short, all
student loans are to be forgiven and future cost affordable free from debt. Universities are to re-think the purpose of higher
education. It is criminal to waste a good mind and collectively detrimental to our overall health.
DISENGAGE WITH THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM. The real
solution is to disengage with the financial system. Cancel your credit card(s) and refrain from loans. Change the obvious
trap of pensions and 401K into stock market-indexed retirement funds. Shift IRAs into gold and silver-backed retirement funds,
disallowing the speculators and gamblers on Wall Street. Re-think the principle of saving opposed to debt and consumption.
Meditating on President Bashar al-Assad of Syria China and Russia support of President Bashar al-Assad and his government is too late. UN sanctions are futile. His government
is unsustainable. The man with the meinkampf look has no choice but to end his rule or be forced out by his people and the
United Nations. The Arab Spring is a continues flow of spurting raging waterfalls throughout the Middle East without interruption
until every dictator and king are removed.
THERE IS NO LONGER AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD. When you get up everyday and look at your dreams and realize there
is no longer an even playing field, the low wage and cost of living make you feel, “why bother.” The problem is
our capitalist structure not welfare recipients. Bloating welfare is mere a reflection of a runway train loaded with lawless
corporatism, flawed legal systems, and government romancing the two. Meditating on the issue I observed
some facts. Firstly, America is based on the principle that a man’s labor is worthy of its hire. This is no longer the
case because corporations, legal systems, and banks receive the honor. Government rewards unethical behavior of stagnated
wages and induced debt since the seventies. Secondly, American corporations ship middle class manufacturing jobs overseas
thus taken for Americans to make a living. Thirdly, I don’t observe that welfare is the best option but the only option
for most. When people say to the welfare recipient, “get off your butt and get a job. Go to work at McDonalds or something."
People do not understand the complexity. A person with a mortgage, rent, car loans, school loans, and health-care concerns
at any of these low paying entry-level jobs positions are unable to provide a living. Fourthly, government tells people to
go back to school and get re-educated for tomorrow. However; it fails to disclose that thousands of newly graduates are unable
to find work. They just got out of school. Are they supposed to go back and start over? The truth is, people have to collapse
the economic base and demand fairness from their representative. The law supposed to protect people from harm. A financial
system that supports stagnated wages and induced debt cause harm. A government that supports American businesses to ship middle
class manufacturing jobs' overseas cause harm. Wages must support the cost of living not debt nor the option of welfare.
Welfare is not about pride when people take help offered. It is about being humble enough to do survive while hoping for better
days. Thus, when you comment on welfare examine the root and branches. For me, plucking the root is resolving the underlying
cause. The super-rich desire to prune the branches and with an occult twist and turns business like usual. The problem; however,
is that branches grow and eventually collapse the tree. The root is unyielding, and the handfuls are tenaciously unwilling.
However; by the collective will of the people, it can pluck and re-plant. The soil is rich and climate very suitable.
LIMITED VIEWOF POLITICAL PROFESSORS. The political professors fail to discern that China's
leaders must be smiling as they watch Washington walk open-eyed into another potential quagmire. "Americans need to borrow
more money," the Red Dragon boast. The real lesson is what it tells about America's inability to resist the temptation
to meddle with military power. However; the American people are convinced that the magic formula for rem...aking whole countries without breaking a sweat is a cost totally unstainable. President Obama talks
of peace. He couldn't keep himself from going abroad in search of a monster to destroy. When you have a big hammer, the
world looks like a nail. And when you have thousand of cruise missiles and smart bombs and lots of B-2s and F-18s, the whole
world looks like a target set. It is this attitude that causes Beijing, China to be the winner. It is foolish not to look
at our foreign policy and defend opposed to meddling. In short, the professors are short-sighted and should note that Afghanistan
and Iraq remind us of the limits of military power.
LIBYA Another chapter closed for Libya. The new
leadership must not be based on Shariah Law, but on free election with a term-limit, and absolutely no interference from the
west. Libya is very rich in oil and enjoy a low population of six million. If leadership is based on the above, my prediction
for Libya is very good. The oil wealth would do well to serve the population, and the nation will re-bound sooner than you
think.
